franfranParticipantHow do you think will be the impact of John Wall in his second season?
In the offseason has been the most dominant
the sky is the limit for John Wall, the sky!0 - Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 2:26pm #614675
I May Be WrongParticipantFranFran inspired stats:
19.1 ppg, 9.1 apg, 4.2 rpg, 1.75 spg, and 0.7 bpg on 46% fg shooting and 31% 3pt shooting and 78% FT
but seriously, the sky is the limit for him. I like what the Wizards have right now and I think they will be fun to watch. However, they still need a few more pieces to take the next step. I have them as an 9-10 seed in the East. Wall could very well be an All-Star this season (who knows!)

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI think, right now, the NBA is split with its PGs. You have the Steve Nash/Rajon Rondo type PGs who will try to get their teammates involved at all cost. You have the Derrick Rose/Russel Westbrook type PGs who try to score to create openings for their teammates to get shots. And you have the PGs like Deron Williams/Chris Paul, who do both.
That being said, I think Wall fits in with the Williams/Paul group. He does both, score and pass, well enough to get 20 points and 10 assist.. He isnt quite the scorer Rose is and he doesnt avoid shots like Rondo. However, he isnt the passer that Steve Nash is.. He is a nice even mesh between the 2 types of PGs, like Williams/Paul are..
I think he has a huge year.. Only thing holding him back is his team..

apb540ParticipantJohn Wall has easily become one of my favorite players in the NBA. I think a 20-10-4 with two steals and a block isn’t out of the question. Dude is everything a basketball fan can ask for.
Hopefully the Wizards suck again so they can get another high pick to use as Wall’s side kick or go to post player.0 - Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 2:38pm #614684
lisergxParticipantYea the guy who averages 8 assists his rookie season lacks true passing skills. People nowadays!
0 - Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 2:38pm #614680
For_Never_EverParticipantHe scores but I dont see him assisting much even less than Rose he lacks true passing skills. He kills it though in the scoring department.
0- Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 2:39pm #614685
Sam_HinkieParticipantWall averaged over 8 assists his rookie year … Rose averaged 6 and has yet to avrage 8 assists in any of his 3 seasons

For_Never_EverParticipantI think he just rub me off the wrong way. Cause He seems to show of more than I like With the dancing and attitude. But he is talented and great athlete.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 3:11pm #614692
The8thDeadlySinParticipantWall is actually pretty quiet and he only did the dancing because his teammates at Kentucky pushed him to do it… He is alot like Derrick Rose.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 3:16pm #614694
Johnny ChillHas he learned to shoot the mid range and 3 yet?
That’s what Rose had to improve on last year and ended up winning the MVP.
That’s something Rondo hasnt improved on.

franfranParticipantI bet for a season 21,5 / 5,1 / 9,3 / 2,1 / 0,8

OMARtheLEGENDParticipantBecause this topic hasnt been discussed hundreds of times during the summer…………..

ilike.panochasParticipant20-10-5 is very much possible this season, and I also see the Wizards being a playoff team this season (could climb as high as the #6 seed in the East). They are loaded with talent, and I like what Vasely, Singleton, and McGee will bring defensively, long and athletic.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 3:57pm #614709
EntropyParticipantHe also looks taller if you watch the training camp videos.
Wall can both score and dish, it really matters on wether wizards will have young (or similar scorer) or not. Towards the end of last season he was scoring close to 20ppg on 45%FG but his assists plumeted down to about 6, that was because they didn’t have Young because of injury. In January he was avergaing 14/11, that’s what i like about him he can adapt his game to the teams requirements.
Oh and he is fully healthy now.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 4:26pm #614720
WizardofOzParticipantI think he’ll average around 19/10 w/ 2 steals. He’ll be able to average 10 apg easily if his teammates remain healthy. The dude averaged 8.3 while playing with injured teammates and some D-Leaguers. He’ll still get a lot of turnovers though.
I actually think the Wizards have the talent to possibly get the 8th seed, but I won’t go out on a limb and book it. For now, I’ll say late-lottery.

GrandmamaParticipant20.5ppg 4.6rpg 8.8ast 1.7stl .40blk 45%fg 77%ft…..I’m sure his jump shooting will be better. The sky is definitely the limit for this dude. He seems like he has a great work ethic so he should be much improved all around this year. I think he can crack the top 5 for PG’s by the end of this year…..end of year rankings for PG’s;
1. Rose 2. Paul 3. Deron 4. Westbrook 5. Wall

Steveni disagree with all of you. i really dont see him being this all star player you guys all see. i still dont think he can shoot a lick. and i still think hes out of control, and he got all those assists by throwing the ball to javale magee, yes an assist is an assist but if your talking about making all of his teammates better like nash and rondo, no sir, i just dont see it. bring on the negs…
0 - Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 5:19pm #614744
sheltwon3ParticipantI think Wall should at leave put up Chris Paul type numbers because he is a willing passer and he has a lot of guys to pass to that can finish. Can you imagine if McGee actually gets it basketball wise. He could catch tons of lob like Tyson Chandler and block shots like Dalembert. Also Blatche should be in better shape. Also another year of experience for Jordan Crawford.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 6:44pm #614775
FastAndFuriousParticipantWall is NOT quiet by any stretch of the imagination and is NOTHING like Derrick Rose, Wall talks and talks and talks trash, you cant even get Derrick Rose to speak in an interview lol they are nothing alike in the personality department.
Go thru ANY John Wall highlight video, I guarantee you see him flexing or talking trash.
Rose not even a bit, he may scowl sometimes but thats it.
Not a knock on Wall but dude is not quiet. lol
0 - Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 6:51pm #614777
Snubs15ParticipantAll his assists went to Javale Mcgee? A guy who averages 10 points per game? Thats pretty bad logic man.
Some people need to watch him play more before they make silly comments lol.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 7:30pm #614788
Stevenyeah you right bro, javale mgee had the offensive skills to get those 10 points by himself… i dont think so. most of his points, even if it is only 10 came by lobs from john wall. ok so lets say javale magee created even 4 of his own 10 points averaged, thats 3 assists for wall. im gonna say another 2 came from a steal and a pass off… every game. now that leaves 3 more, fine… so he found his teammates 3 other times. thats great
0 - Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 7:48pm #614792
Scottoant93Participantwhat does mcgree have anything to do with wall, did chandler make cp3 a better player..i doubt it. I get what your saying but the logic is not valid if you can make that agruement for every pg in the nba, each one has a player they like to target more.
As for john wall this season i expect him to avg atleast 20ppg 8+assist(maybe double figures early on,but it will go down as season goes on)

For_Never_EverParticipantIf you dont sweat Wall or wanna suck his dick. Everyone here is going to give you A Thumbs down just A heads up.

GrandmamaParticipantIf you dont sweat Wall or wanna suck his dick. Everyone here is going to give you A Thumbs down just A heads up.
It’s not about "sweating" or "sucking his d1ck", it’s about recognizing what a special talent the dude is and his ridiculous star potential. And why the hell do you capitalize (A) every post you make?? Sh*t is weird…
0 - Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 8:11pm #614800
Scottoant93Participantnah the only reason people gave you a neg is because you made an invalid arguement that makes no sense, i will galdy give you a point if you want but it still dont make it valid.
He scores but I dont see him assisting much even less than Rose he lacks true passing skills. He kills it though in the scoring department.
Derrick Rose assists career 6.7 high 7.7assists(this season)
John wall rookie season 8.3 assists
now is wall a better player then rose. No
0 - Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 8:15pm #614801
For_Never_EverParticipantAll I’m saying is if you say anything negative or dont like him your going to get blasted. thunbs down am I wrong ? Cause not everyone has A luv jones for him.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 8:24pm #614805
Snubs15ParticipantSteve Nash had Amare to pass the ball to all those years and Amare was an offensive monster with or without Nash. Stoudemire is 10 times the player Javale is and Nash probably had the same type of easy assists to Amare that wall has with Javale. Does that make Nash an overrated passer too?
And whats wrong with a steal and a pass off? Thats something a good point guard would do.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 8:25pm #614806
Scottoant93Participantim just giving you an explaination not trying to blast you,if it came off that way my bad, everyone has the right of their own opinion about any player not everyone is gonna agree, for example
I still think Andrea Bargnani has potential to improve, is everyone gonna agree Hell No
plus people give negs for no reason anyway
0 - Posted on: Mon, 12/12/2011 - 8:32pm #614809
For_Never_EverParticipantOhkay people My Bad about the bad language I had too much sugar. I’m off this.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 12/13/2011 - 3:51am #614851
joecheck88Participant19ppg 4rpg and 10.2apg. If they run, he will get assists. The Wizards could make the playoffs just because the bottom of the East is weak but they are still very young.
