Michael.S.ParticipantEXTREMELY similar styles of play
here are some small differences i see
1.Their mechanics—— neither are great shooters but Brandon Jennings has the edge in my opinion, because he has a form that can allow him to shoot over people with his quick release and great elevation, Wall jumps on his jumper but not very high and his release is pretty slow with his form i dont know if NOW he can shoot over people , off the dribble , or pulling up ( if he makes some significant changes on his accuracy and mechanics he will be IN MY OPINION the best point guard in he NBA in maybe 3 years, Jennings can IN MY OPINION be the best point guard too in 3 years(Rubio can be too. )
2.John Wall is a better at finishing inside but jennings has a variety of outside moves from the perimeter to create his jumper (each player can get way better in these areas though)i would probably take wall before jennings but i dont kno why can you guys tell me some differences you see that make me think this way?

rvirsalParticipantin 3 years, jennings will be better than cp3? i don’t think so. he’ll be lucky to be behind cp3, d-rose and deron (in 3 years).
i think john wall would be better. he’s bigger, stronger and he can score at will. wall will be the better scorer but i think jennings would be the better playmaker (he makes mistakes though coz he’d rather put on a show). i think they’d both be lock down defenders.

Michael.S.Participantbe, but i know thats far from the near future as i said at least 3 years, but he has the potential

Tim49461ParticipantUmm idk….I have always liked jennings since his Freshmen year.
John Wall is not strong so idk where all this is coming from…have you seen him he is a twig and he does not finish as good as u think after contact. Speed wise he is def. faster then Jennings, BUTTT! remember rose was considered the fastest in college and is he BLOWING by everyone in the NBA, For wall it will hard for him to do so with his frame. But weight will make him faster then rose but never a better finisher.
Jennings for has a jump shot that barely needs to be touched so he already has 3 years on wall, he knows when to be flashly and when to take over unlike wall who if i remember right lost the USA summit game because he wanted to be flashly the whole game. Every year before that USA kids took it to the International team. Plus lets not forget Jennings did just spend a year learning how to play REAL team ball ove rin Europe, IF he truely did learn the pick and roll this kid will be Amazing.
thats my 2 cents. So overall i think Jennings will have the Edge in the long run, but everyone will have tunnel vision on wall because of his speed.

Michael.S.Participantbut jennings was said to have been more mature after he played ball in europe but that was false as hell( rubio situation then duhon situation) proved that ,so who knows

JNixonParticipantIts a toss up but I would choose Jennings because he is a better natural point guard (handles, passing). I didnt include leadership because they both arent the best at it but maybe they will develop into it

Stanford hoopsParticipantyou say he rather put on a show..so you are basing jennings ability off of highschool?..because over in europe he played sound basketball and rarely tried to put on a show

rapidcifWall definitley has more potential, but his pretty darn raw rite now. He basically relied on his athletic ability and his ambidextrousness in high school, Bbt he has the edge over Jennings in height and strength. Remem Jennings had like a 60 point game in high school or something? i go 2 PC high school which is like 30min away from WOG and we played WOG in an exhibition game. Wall actually only averaged 21 points in high school on the year which was like 6th inthe state, with one of the ppl he was behind being our man EARNEST “EJ” ROSS.

HaleParticipantPoints per game in high school mean nothing. Lawrence Westbrook for MN averaged something 40 ppg in High School and he won’t even get drafted next year. Maybe Wall got ONLY 21 ppg but I bet he shredded your defense, had a lot of assists and won nearly all those games.

rapidciflol i only mentioned the pts cuz for the best player in America, 6th in the state somewhat proves his kinda raw. And dude wat r u talking about, our basketball team is good. John didn’t exactly dominate us. We were 21-2 on the year(one lost being to Ryan kelly and ravensroft if u kno who Ryan is) and were on the way 2 the state championship wen something odd happened. EJ(ross): our best player on his way to Auburn, and Brandon(Oliver): starting PG, were just joking around with some nerd in the locker room during weight training class, and unexpectingly the nerd thought it was offensive, got mad, told his mom, the mom called the school, and they had EJ and Brandon suspended, so we lost the regionals. We’re not in the same class as WOG though, so we wouldn’t end up playing em. Ok that last part had nothing to do wit the topic but i thought it was a funny story.
O and i’ve seen John at the YMCA.(in our area.) He was dunking like mad lol 360’s and it didn’t look like he was even trying. Ppl question his height, but i think he really is 6’4 or least 6’3. Shulda asked 4 his autograph but his scary looking live lol

DeedsJohn Wall has more Intangibles than Jennings and is a better all-around player.

Stanford hoopsParticipantfor one wall is not better then jennings..the reason most people say he is is because hes the next big thing and they jump right on the next best things bandwagon..at the end of next seaon the same people will be saying brandon knight is the best pg..and yea scoring alot of points in hs doesnt mean a awhole lot but it doesnt mean more when you do it for a loaded oakhill team that plays one of if not the toughest schedule in the nation. on top of that i would compare both to there 4th year in highschool since wall was in hs for 5 years
