He seems to be Derrick Rose with Michael Beasley’s attitude. He is big, fast, ultra athletic, supreme handler and finisher but may lack the heart and/or attitude to be the amazing player he could become.

I’m just saying he has enormous potential, and I really hope he doesn’t turn out to be like “Starbury” with all the attitude probelms. I hope he can be Rose v.2

Well he is bigger, faster and more athletic then Marbury is so he has a good chance, if he isn’t like DeRozan (all hype).

John Wall was said to be immature and have attitude problems earlier in his high school career, but that was a long time ago, word is he’s changed since his Junior year. I have him as a friend on Myspace and I seen in a old picture of him, maybe when he was a freshmen, that he was in a room with a whole bunch of dudes, throwing up the blood sign. I hope he takes the right path to the college and then the NBA, and watch the company he keeps because he has a lot of potential. I think he’s more going to pan out like Devin Harris because he’s not as athletic as Rose, but he still has plenty of hops.

Whenever There Is A Player Highly Touted Coming Out of High School, People ALWAYS Say They Have Attitude Problems! Like Don Said, He’s Playing Against High Schoolers Who Aren’t Nearly As Gifted As Him. It’s Hard To Have “Heart” And “Poise” When You’re Dominating The Competition. And Also, It’s Hard NOT To Have Swagger And Be A Little Overconfident In That Situation. People Said Oj Mayo Had “Problems”, And Those Turned Out To Be Completely And Utterly False. “LeBron Took A Free Jersey! He’s A Thug!” Hahaha. People Are So Stupid Sometimes…

Can someone tell me how old is B-Eazy? 19 right? At the age of 19 what are you thinking about? My point exactly… I’m tired of people saying Mike has a poor attitude. He is a 19 year old dude that likes to have fun. Have any of you (or the media who said it) been thru what a high profile basketball player has? You play basketball EVERYDAY… EVERYDAY!!! You shoot, and shoot, and shoot, everyday!!! AAU, Camps, Regular season… Everyone is poking you trying to jump on the train to the NBA….. After a while that game becomes a job…. Don’t say this man have a poor attitude because he is having fun doing his job… He don’t cry, get into it with teammates, or coaches. He does what he is told and have fun… Mike was asked something similar to “does he think the NBA is going to be hard.” “He said the easy part is playing BASKETBALL… I’ve done it all my life!!!” Its just ball!!” I applaud the fact that he is still having fun!!!! B-EAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like his talent level man, he is so much better than the rest of these other players that he will coast. He wont be a discipline problem in college, they will probably tell him to not let things on the floor take him out of his game. By now he knows that he has too much to loose by actin a fool in college, to the tone of millions of dollars so he will be on the straight and narrow. He doesnt act like a thug type, he seems like he just has a tough time dealing with losing games or watching his team fall apart. This guy is a jump shot away from being a perrenial all star and he understands that, so he wont goof up.

just my opinion, I dont think he is as athletic or skilled as rose, but bieng scary close to the freakiest point prospect Ive ever seen is pretty damn good. One thing I think about is that he is a 5th year senior, so he is a little older, better and more physically matured at this point. Plus, im perty sure that Word of God is a small time school in North Carolina, if he was playing the St. Patricks and Benedicts and Mater Dei’s regularly I don’t think he would absolutely own like he does, not saying he wouldnt be good but theres people at the high school level who can challenge him that he isnt playing. It would not shock me one bit if Dexter Strickland turned out better, maybe a bit smaller and not quite as freaky, but great athlete, proven winner and good kid, product of a big program teaching him how to be a winner for 4 years. Dexter Strickland, I think im the first on this site to call it.

He doesnt just play high school ball, he plays AAU and he does go up against the best players around the nation playing AAU ball. Word of God is one thing, but even if he played for an Oak Hill or St.Patricks or St.Benedicts he would still be an impressive prospect. These scouts have seen him play against top talent, if he wasnt playing the best of the best at least sometimes, he wouldnt be as highly touted as he is. He is better than Dexter Strickland, the only way strickland becomes a one and done player is if he becomees a much better playmaker than he is now or becomes a 20 point per game type player as soon as he hits UNC, which is doubtful. Wall will likely be the 1st pick when he comes out too, if not 1st then 2nd.

Not to argue but I didn’t hear any problems about Rose when he came out of high school. Don, yeah I think you are right as he has seemed to mature lately, just a question i had.

My friend plays for St. Davids and they played Word of God earlier this year. I went to see them play and have seen Wall play several times since. He is amazing. Some of you are saying that you really can’t compare him to others because he does not play against the best competition, but this does not matter. Scouts and people can see the potential and skill of Wall. He has a huge upside.

His teammate, CJ Leslie, is amazing, as well. Leslie is a junior right now and has already commited to play for Sidney Lowe at NC State. He is very athletic and is a great prospect, as well.

I think that John Wall may go to NC State because of Leslie and Lowe’s “NBA offense.” Yes, Wall may leave after his first year, and he most likely will, but I think he will go to NC State and he may stay until his sophomore year so that he can play with Leslie at the collegiate level. Lowe’s offense is perfect for Wall to shine as a “one-and-done” player.

I also know that John Wall wants to stay close to home so that his family can watch his games and Raleigh is 15 minutes away from Holly Springs.

I think he’s going to struggle at first adjusting to the college game. His game seems to be too much in transition and his passes are either easy shovel passes or outlets. But he does have a lot of talent and if he can get a jump shot he’ll be as unguardable as Rose can be.

It doesnt mean he will be worse. The fact that Strickland won’t be a one and done player doesnt mean he wont be better down the road. He is going the real players route, going to a quality school where he can learn to be a man and compete every year for a title. He’ll probably stay two or three years and learn to be a playmaker, and better all around player. Wall is a certain one and done, which makes him less likely to succeed IMO because his game is a lot rawer than Rose’s was. We both know the argument is kinda bunk and based on nothing till we see them actually pan out 4 to 5 years from now. I know Wall is the bigger prospect right now and possibly the top pick, Im just sayin watch out for Strickland to be the better player down the road because he is close in athleticism and size and been through a high school and then a college program to teach him to be a winner, rather than just bieng the man all the way through and having coaches let him do whatever. I like Wall as a prospect, i do, I just dont think he is on the same level as Rose at all, I see some bust potential in him.
