r377ParticipantWho do you think will be the better pro and why ?
I thought Portis would have had a better season. I am not a great fan of John Collins, he is not a good defender.
I will go Bobby Portis here:

FuqdatassParticipantHe has decent size and solid skills. However, he really needs to develop his jumpshot in order to maximize his potential. The fact that barely attempted any 3-pointers (if at all) this season is not promising, but he is okay in the mid range. In my mock I have him going 29th.
I prefer Cameron Oliver from Nevada cause he is a better shooter, better defender, and is more athletic. Sure, he did not play in the strongest conference but I would easily take him in the first round. I have him 22nd in my mock.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantPortis definitely showcased more of a face up game than Collins at the college level and has continued to expand his range in the NBA. Collins played almost exclusively around the basket at wake forest. Collins will definitely need to improve his effort on the defensive end of the floor to get consistent mins in the NBA. I think portis was a slightly better prospect due to his offensive versatility but Collins has a lot of potential. It’s kind of difficult to compare the two because we already have a pretty good idea what kind of NBA player portis projects to be while it’s more of a guessing game with Collins.
