Where would Embiid go in this year’s draft? How do you think this year’s big guys compare to him? Personally, I feel Embiid much better prospect. Definitly just as good or better than Towns defensively and way better than KAT offensively.  I think Okafor has more offense right now but can’t compare defensively.

Embiid would go #1 he’s going to be a beast. No I’m not a 76er’s fan

Not sure I can agree with "way better than KAT offensively". Similar college stats and roles. Both have good touch on their jumpshots with developing post games. I think all three guys have the potential to be top 5 centers in the league within the next 5 years. If I have to compare them right now I would say Okafor easily has the best post game and Towns and Embiid are clearly the better defenders. I’m an Embiid fan and saw flashes at Kansas that made me think he could be a star, but saying he is the "much better prospect" is a stretch in my opinion.

Embid was going to be the top pick in last years draft and if it weren’t for the injury concerns would clearly be ahead of Okafor and Towns. With the injury concerns I’d put Towns ahead of him.

Because of Embiid’s injury concerns, I’m not sure he would be a lock for number 1.

He might go before Okafor, but Towns has a similar upside without an injury background.

Towns isn’t as fluid athletically as embiid. Embiid has the most potential of the three but I’d probably take towns first due to injury concerns.

Joel Embiid is 7’1" 275 with amazing combination of skill mix with athleticism. I don’t believe it’s even close to who would be the number one pick if they all were in the same draft class. He’s more athletic, skilled, and better rim protector than Towns and he’s more athletic, have more potential, better defender, and more shooting range than Okafor. They will all be great but Joel Embiid is being compared to The Dream.

As a basketball fan – its very exciting to see 3 high level centers enter the league at the same time and present some real interesting matchups to look forward to !!

Towns & Okafor would’ve gone 4-6 range in last years draft. Embiid would’ve gone 1 if healthy.

    From 2005 onward …

    just not counting 2007 …

    and maybe 2012.

(You see what I did there? It was, like, all "suspenseful" and stuff.)

Embiid > KAT & Okafor, and not even close. You put the health questions aside, Embiid would have been drafted ahead of Andrew Wiggins, thats how good a prospect Embiid was.

embid is defenitely the better prospect. But if we are including the health issues since embid was injured prior to draft, i would probably have a hard time choosing.

If the Bucks knew Parker would get hurt after 25 games, they would have taken Embid at 2 last year. Cleveland was all need pick, and Wiggins is obviously a great pick, but most traditional 1st pick teams would’ve thought Embid an option at 1 too.

I think he’d go ahead of both those guys this year.

It’s still a long way from declaring him healthy, but if he is, Embid has potential to change the game.

Not so sure the Bucks would have picked Embiid 2 even if they knew Parker was going to get hurt. Milwaukee was a bit of a bad situation last year and not very attractive to many players. Parker came out and said he wanted to play there because it was close to home for him, which was huge for them. That plus the fact Parker was somewhat local is also something they were thinking about with attendance. Plus Parker’s injury isn’t a long term one and since he isn’t the elite athlete Wiggins is, it’s not like it could take away a part of his game.

I think Parker was always going to Mikwaukee no matter what as long as the Cavs didn’t take him.

I think that if you take players at their draft value from this year and last year(so the fact guys like Clarkson and Payton showed promise isn’t a factor here), you’d see them go Wiggins, Parker, Embiid, Towns, Okafor, Russell, Exum, Mudiay
