Watching espn post draft show and an insider (not sure his name) was being interviewed and he was asked who had the worst draft and he said the sixers. He said he fully understands they want to stockpile asserts for future and are not concerned about winning, but said embid at 3 was a reach because not only did he have the back and foot concerns but he had blood work come back that many gm’s told him completely scared them off.

They’re worried that Embiid has hepatitis because other players from Africa have tested positive for Hep B, C, etc.  I have no clue if this matters from a bball prospective.

Yeah, just did a google search and word is hep. I have no idea how that affects his ability to play bball but might hurt his ability to hit on chicks at the club.

Well, weren’t the only teams who received his medical paper work the Cavs, Bucks and 76ers?? So, saying this scared off MANY gms is obviously false. Also, if the 76ers still ended up taking him 3rd, either that report is fabricated or whatever his blood work issue is, it wasn’t enough of a problem to keep him out of the top 3 even added to his back and foot injury and also factor in The 6ers have Noel in place as their center anyway.

And then think about this conezd, Sixers also picked up Saric from the Magic from Payton. If Embiid does not work out because of back problems, foot problems, and potential blood problems too, then Sixers are still okay. Just bring over Saric once that new happens (if it happens, I hope it doesn’t. I want to see the next Hakeem, the Dream, Olajawon in the league today. I didn’t get to see him in the early 90’s because I was young baskbetball wasn’t my thing. But I’d love to see the new version of Olajawon in the league some day soon) (I didn’t start liking basketball till the late 90’s early 2000’s because of the beautiful pick and roll between Stockon and Malone.) Saric might end up being a better compliment to Noel down low in the end. I thought Hinkie would pick up Saric. I just thought he would do so at 10 instead of trading down for him. I had Saric to the Sixers at 10 all along until a couple of days before the draft when I decided to switch it to Warren because they missed out on Wiggins at 3. I thought they could always select a big man in next years draft instead that is supposed to be filled with big man. Shouldn’t have changed it in the end. Oh well I love the pick for the Sixers. I am not a Sixers fan but if Embiid ends up working out, I will definitely be watching some Sixers games to see the next Olajawon. (Don’t think Embiid is the next Olajawon, but I would love to see him turn out to be so in the end. I compare Embiid to a poor man’s Patrick Ewing.)
