Joe Johnson is a stud. hes a big guard that can do it all. Atlanta probably isnt going to give him max dollars and if wade and lebron stay put he will definitely get max dollars on the open market with so many teams willing to give it to someone. Which situation would be best for Johnson?

New York- Coach that he knows and a system that he would score a ton of points in.

Chicago- Gets a chance to form one of the better backcourts in the entire league. With a very solid small forward in deng and one of the best young centers in the game in noah, there isnt much wrong with the situation

Houston- I think a lot of people are forgetting about houston but if Yao Ming comes back healthy the team if full of role players and they just need somebody to be there star and johnson fits right in. Brooks, Johnson, Ariza, Scola, Yao Ming, Battier- dangerous team

i just dont think atlanta will give him a max extension. if they were willing to do so they could have locked him up this summer but he turned them down and wanted to test the market. but like i said. johnson is getting his payday this offseason but if wade and lebron stay johnson is getting a max contract somewhere

I dont think he will get a max contract there is too much supply of talent out there and not enough money. Only the Knicks if they dont get Lebron/ Bosh/ Wade might offer.

I don’t see Joe Johnson going to a Knicks team that would be rebuilding (once again) over a playoff team like Atlanta. I also think that Atlanta will be the team that has the best chance at a title that offers him, and I know that he wants to play for a contender after being so patient in Atlanta’s cellar years. And you better believe he will get offered a bunch of money by Atlanta anyway…

Atlanta cant offord a max contract for him…If the knicks could add him and a Bosh then they would cease to be a rebuilding team….I See Lebron and Wade as the most likely to stay put and him and Bosh as most likely to leave….Atlanta may be the best fit but that doesnt make it the most likely….however i like him in Chicago alot, thats actually a better logical fit then Wade because they need someone who can shoot along Rose

I don’t see why he’d leave Atlanta for New York, when all the hope of him going to New York is based on whether or not another free agent will go there. I’m pretty sure Johnson’s agent will tell him to stay in Atlanta if he had to make a choice as to whether to stay or go to New York, because all New York’s hope comes from IF they can get a free agent, not due to the team they have in place. Any agent should know that you don’t let your client (of this caliber) sign with a team that doesn’t have a roster in place to make a move at a championship, when his current team already does have a roster in place to contend.
