This means No players from Euro Leagues or College (Incoming Rookies).

This is my personal ranking how useful I believe a certain player is to a team in basketball.  Has nothing to do with building a franchise, but more like winning a pickup game for my life right now and building a team scratch. (Im leaving leniency for injured players)  Age, Potential, nor contract goes into factoring and you will probably be able to notice trends in what kinds of players I like….obviously the list will be biased towards my opinion; however I assure it should be pretty thurough.

He was just kidding; we are really not that useful

    300. Andray Blatche PF (WAS)

    299. Rashard Lewis SF (WAS)

    298. Jermaine O’neal C (BOS)

    297. Greg Oden C (FA)

We will make you look like a genius sometimes; and likely get you fired along the way

    296. Keyon Dooling PG (BOS)

    295. Toney Douglas PG (NYK)

    294. Manny Harris SG (CLE)

    293. Will Bynum PG (DET)

We will give you everything we got

    292. Shelden Williams PF (BRK)

    291. Ben Wallace C (DET)

    290. Derek Fisher PG (OKC)

How High on a Most Valuable Contracts List is Rashard Lewis?

    289. Mehmet Okur PF (BRK)…..Shockingly, This guy was an All Star at one time.

    288. Jason Maxiell PF (DET)….Shockingly, has actually had a decent career.

    287. Shelvin Mack PG (WAS)….Tough to get minutes playing PG in DC.

    286. Wesley Johnson SF (MIN)….Is he really a better player or better prospect than Shelvin Mack at this point?

    285. Mickael Pietrus SF (BOS)…According to my Celtic fan friends, he’s the missing link.

    284. DJ White PF (CHA)….Coming off what is likely the best year of his career.

    283. Josh Howard SF (UTA)….Coming off what is likely the worst year of his career.

    282. Andris Biedrins C (GS)…..This guy mattered on the Warriors team who beat the MVP Dirk Mavs.

    281. Vladmir Radmonivic PF (ATL)…..Still a severicable serb.

Ok cool. I think Pietrus was a bit better than 285, he was vital on the offensive boards in the playoffs . That’s the only critique so far, agree for the most part. Keep it up

    238. Brendan Haywood C (DAL)…Steady, if no longer frightful, defense.

    237. Eric Maynor PG (OKC)….Lost his 2012 season to inury, think he has serious game if he recovers 100%

    226. Terrence Williams SF (SAC)….Has such an all-around kind of game, really hope he figures that out.

    225. Thabo Seflosha SG (OKC)…Horrendus offensive player, but a lock down artist on the defensive end.

    215. Metta World Peace SF (LAL)…Love his name, hate his antics, still not a guy you really want to play against.

    214. Tracy McGrady SF (ATL)……Suprised me and did a good job accepting his role!

    I have two issues:

    1. Carlos Delfino is from Argentina not Spain.
    2. Shane Battier a "good guy"? He’s one of the dirtiest players in the entire league, however that’s also one of the reasons he’s such a good defender. I respect Battier a lot, but he’s nowhere near a good guy.

Other than that the list is pretty good, as someone else mentioned I think you have Pietrus a little far down the list, but not a big issue.

Hey maybe a Dookie, but he’s genuine.  He plays hard, never had a me first atitude, and he was probably one of the greatest college basketball playerss.

Sorry about the Delfino slip, thanks for keeping me on it!

Finished the season with something like a 9.15 PER.  That’s the best indicator of a player usefulness we have available as far as stats go(Can be misleading sometimes).  I can’t really give him credit for getting 5 rebounds on 1 possesion of the playoffs if he didnt perform well all season.

I’m a firm believer in his potential.  Several years ago I watched a hs game that pitted him vs. Austin Rivers. and they equally carried their teams and played like men among boys.  However he was less than impressive this year.  Had moments of brilliance, but he saw a lot of action this year and spent the most part of it looking rather clueless….
