JBrace19ParticipantWOW! This guy is crazy good on the collegiate level! But what im wondering is if he can be a solid player in the big leagues. Personally if he works i think he can. I mean he has range like Stephen Curry and he is pretty quick and has pretty good handles. I think he could play a role like a J.J. Redick or a 3pt specialist like Kyle Korver. If he wasnt such a shoot first, pass second player i think he could be like a Jason Kidd if he picks up his defense

bigblackNbeautifulParticipantI dont think fredette and j kidd are even close to being similar. But I do think Fredette will be a steal for whoever drafts him. I think he can and will pass the ball. and the reason he is so good at scoring is not simply his range but also his amazing handles. Idk I am really high on this kid but dont see the kidd comparasion at all.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantHe reminds me a bit of a thicker Eddie House. House was a terrific college player as well and I feel Jimmer will end up being the kind of player teams would love to bring off the bench but would be absolutely exploited if he got significant playing time.

TallmanNYCParticipantYou said, "if he works," ?!?!?!? No offense, but that also doesn’t make any sense. Do you think there is any chance that Jimmer Fredette isn’t going to work? Working hard isn’t the issue. The issue is limited hops and speed. Reminds me a bit of a short Adam Morrison. I’m sure Morrison works plenty hard. He just can’t get his shot off against guys. This is a big problem when you get to the next level and you can’t get by anyone. Sure Kyle Korver is successful at the next level, but he is 6′ 6" and has possibly the best jump shot in the league. Fredette probably doesn’t have quite such a pure stroke. He seems to rely on getting to the rim more and I question if he can get there against a consistent stream of better athletes.
That said, I can’t wait to see more of him. He is a creative scorer and that is always fun to watch.

bobforteParticipantHe does play alot like Mark Price, but if he plays half as good as price ill be suprised. I think he will be a decent backup i think the biggest problem isnt his atheleticsm but more his defense who can he guard of the starting point guards in the league.

LAKE SHOWHow many starting Point guards are actually real good defenders?..How many players for that matter. People bring up if a college player will be able to defend at the NBA level but the fact is most NBA players can’t defend at the NBA level

TyrekeJonesParticipant^took the words right out of my mouth, if you really watch most NBA players, they don’t really defend at all and the fact is who knows how effective he can be in the league? He may suprise people and actually be a solid contributor/role player, nobody thought Landry Fields would be a starter on a playoff team in his rookie season or at all for that matter (I admit I am one of them). Just because a player doesn’t wow you with athleticism or isn’t the quickest guy ever does not mean he cannot make a good player in the NBA.
