ZachAttackParticipantIf the Jazz end up getting the eighth seed in the playoffs… How many games would the GSW-Jazz series go. I think that the Jazz could grab 2 in SLC, but I really don’t think that they could beat the Warriors at home. So… I’d say the series goes 4-2. The could give GSW real problems if they end up facing them. But how long do you think the series would go if it did end up that way?

I May Be WrongParticipantI want to say the Jazz have two games but with Curry, you never know when they’ll just start bombing 3’s and go on a 17-6 run to win a game by a few points. So I’d only give the Jazz one game
But while you are here broseph, tell me about the Jazz bench. I like Hood/Hayward/Favors scoring combo but Im trying to figure out this team’s bench and can they give you 30 points a night? Is Alec “beast mode in 2k” Burks still around?

ZachAttackParticipantBurks is playing tomorrow!!!
I’m really excited, I actually just found out about it. With Burks, yeah, the team’s bench could give you thirty points a night, but before Burks, I’d be surprised if we got 20 from them. I think that 35-40 is really possible for the Jazz bench. It’s great to see people caring about the Jazz…

CanadianGMParticipantGolden State would be smart to use their two remaining games against Memphis to try to avoid playing the Jazz.
Memphis is 3 games up on Jazz and last 4 games are @ Dallas, Home and away vs Warriors, @ LA Clippers. I don’t see them winning any of those games with the roster they have playing.
Dallas is 2 behind Memohis and has home games against Memphis and SA who will have nothing to play for on the final game of the season and away games against Jazz and La Clippers. I could see them winning two of the games.
Utah has home games against the Clippers and Mavs and goes on the road vs Denver and the Lakers. I could see them winning 3 of those games. This creates a 3 way tie and Inhavent looked into the tie breaker but if I’m Golden State, I do my part and beat Memphis to give a realistic shot at knocking them down to last place and setting up a first round sweep. Dallas probably wins one game at home against Golden State and have beat them once already but Utah could be a real grind it out series that depletes them for the next series against the Clippers and then possibly SA. I think Golden State is better this year but their road to the finals was New Orleans without Holiday, Memphis without Conley, Houston without Beverly and Cleveland without Love & Irving. Utah, Clippers, SA/OKC and a healthy Cavs team will be far more challenging.

OaktownWarriorsParticipantSo the NBA Champion Dubs should try to avoid the Jazz in the playoffs, because the Dubs were 4-0 vs them this season, right?

Hype MachineThe bigfoot is right…Tanking to manipulate the standings to avoid facing the Jazz is a laughable suggestion.
I’ve got Dubs 4-0. The Jazz havent got any playoff experience. Not to mention that they’re just not as good.
Might sneak game 3 in Salt Lake…but they’re going to be down 2-0 as quick as Zachattack can say "Marry me Gordon".

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantIt would be more competitive than last years match up with NO. Jazz are tough to beat at home.

ZouldiersParticipantI say 6 games as well. The Jazz gave the Warriors fits and will give them a good fight in the playoffs. Plus, fatigue will factor in the Warriors for chasing history so a Warriors sweep will be less likely as well.

20% chance for game 5

OaktownWarriorsParticipantIf I remember correctly, the Jazz are 0-4 !!! this season vs the Dubs, right? So why would this become a series? Sure the Jazz could take a game, but 2-3, what? Come on! The Jazz have some really good building blocks to build a good team, but not this season. And lucky for the Dubs, just in time for the playoffs, the Dubs will be completely healthy! Over the past 12-15 games, they have been short.

OhCanada-ParticipantThe Warriors aren’t scared of anyone. They want Micheal Jordan’s Bulls in the first round. They have made winning a habit and expect to win all the time.
