lisergxParticipantI have been hearing rumours that due to the unfavorable CBA the Miller’s will look to sell the Utah Jazz. I was wondering where might the franchise be headed, location wise due to it being my favorite team of all time, and what you guys think about this rumor?

MagikKnickParticipantselling a team =/= moving a team

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe Jazz aren’t leaving anywhere, especially not because of the CBA that’s put in place.
This CBA, IF implemented, actually benefits teams.

chevilicousParticipantHe’s referring to this http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=18176457&title=utah-jazz-for-sale-report-raises-the-possibility and http://www.slamonline.com/online/nba/2011/11/will-the-utah-jazz-be-going-on-sale/ but to be straight with you i doubt they are going anywhere. However with that being said I’ve thought for years that after Larry Miller passed away, and greg miller not showing nearly as much interest in the basketball side of his dads businesses it was going to happen sooner or later, and i always though that it would Dave Checketts who would open his pocket book to make it happen, and honestly if it does it will be the single greatest thing that could happen to this franchise that’s in a rebuilding stage. This guy knows how to create a competetive product, and loves nothing more than winning. Look at how he brought in Real Salt Lake and the MLS to salt lake city as an expansion team, won a title in the first five year, and made the sport relevant and sells out the stadium every night, in a city who could care less about the sport before hand. As a jazz fan i hope to god it happens.

aamir543ParticipantLeroy, I don’t think you should be talking smack about other people’s math skills when you don’t evenknow how to add fractions. Your grades are so bad, when I saw your percentages, I thought I was looking at NFL scores.
And this is just stupid, the Jazz ain’t going no where, and way to almost give No Money a heart attack, now there won’t be anyone to hype up Mollum’s supremacy.

I wouldn’t mind the Jazz moving at all. It would be cool to see them in Seattle.

ProudGrandpaParticipantDo you live in Utah? If not, how’d you become a Jazz fan? Are you a mormon?

aamir543ParticipantExcuse me? First of all I’m a sophmore, and second I can think of a Derrick Favors joke, unlike some people…..

ProudGrandpaParticipantAren’t you referring to that guy who has 300 points more than anyone mainly because of his humor?
0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/22/2011 - 7:12pm #609066
butidonthavemoneyNever lived in Utah.
Not a Mormon.
My mom used to like John Stockton and Jeff Hornacek, so we would always watch their games together. When they eventually left, so did my mother’s interest in the NBA. I, on the other hand, continued to follow the team. Primarily because of Andrei Kirilenko.

ProudGrandpaParticipantI was slamming Aamir, not McDunkin. I was just trying to say how he has no room to make cracks about McDunkin’s humor when the dude has way more points than anyone because of it.
And Imma outlive you all.
