These 4 are going to do major damage this year.  I can’t think of another team in the league that has a foursome like this.  Now, they may not all be there for the entire year, as they will have to find more time for the young guns (Kanter and Favors).  But for now while they are all together, they are going to have an advantage for a good part of games at the 4 and 5.

A lot of people have picked Favors as a breakout player this year, but I have to admit, I see Kanter surpassing him as a real rising star.

With Jefferson’s contract ending this year I can’t think of a team more prepared for the departure of their #1 player, perhaps ever. A tandem of Favors and Kanter, with Hayward and Burks on the wing, they are a good point guard away from entering top 5 in the West discussion. Throw in the fact that Hayward’s 22, Burks and Favors are 21, and Kanter is 20, they have the potential for OKC status someday in the near future. That young core should be the envy of 90% the league.

Jefferson will have huge trade value for teams who cannot get under cap to try and sign him as an FA next summer if they like his skillset. There are not that many 20/10 big men at or near their peak on the market and I could see teams making offers to Utah for him. If Al indicated that he would be receptive to extend with any trade suitors then this boosts his trade value more plus Utah would be best served to get a nice package for him instead of just letting him walk next summer.

Utah are almost in a win-win situation, they can get a nice package for their best player and have two ready made replacements to come in for him.

Teams that spring to mind would be perhaps Indiana, they have David West on a nice expiring deal and with a sweetner they get Jefferson to go alongside Roy Hibbert. Portland have a few assets outside of their key players and could use Hickson and Williams’ one year deals to start balancing a trade, again LMA and Jefferson being fed by Lillard looks nice and Myers Leonard still sees good minutes around them. Dallas maybe need another proven scorer alongside Dirk, again Kaman, Brand, Carter all on one year guaranteed deals plus the picks they got from Cleveland for 17th pick this year gives Dallas trade ammo. Even Charlotte might decide they want a proven big man and can offer up Diop, Williams and Carroll’s expiring deals plus sweetners.

If the Jazz are not in play-off hunt by All-Star break (hard to believe they won’t be) then there will be a massive fire sale of Jefferson, Millsap and Williams as ending contracts who can contribute to play-off contenders.

Granger for Millsap or Jefferson would be sweet.

Enes Kanter is the best player on the Utah Jazz and the future face of that Franchise.  Yeah I said it.

The Jazz should really be in the hunt for an under the radar PG who could potentially be special for Utah similar to how guys like Isaiah Thomas, Lin, and the Gragic’s of the world have taken the league by storm.

One rookie who the Jazz should try and trade for is Tony Wroten.  The Grizz don’t necessarily need him, at all, and he could become the PG of the future for Utah. Furthermore Wroten is ready to contribute right now for a team but will be stuck on the bench on Memphis.  Wroten’s strength, ball handlings, and need threading passing ability would enable him to consistently penetrate the lane giving Favors and Kanter dumpoffs at the rim.

The Jazz really missed the boat on Machodo and Maalik Wayns who both went undrafted and already look like rotation players, especially Wayns.  Don’t be surprised if Maalik Wayns isn’t the 2nd best rookie PG behind Lillard this year because he’s miles ahead of a guy like Kendell Marshall in terms of running an NBA team an impacting a game.

Jose Calderon would be a great pickup for the Jazz but is old and owed a good bit of change the next few years.

Ramon Sessions would of been a perfect fit in Utah also.

What do you guys think Utah should do about a PG is there any under rated PG’s out there you guys think they should try and go after?

Wroten would look great on the Jazz, I feel like Eric Bledsoe would as well.
