RUDEBOY_Participanti read that teams were impressed with the way he lead his team to the title without any superstars…but that doesnt work in the nba ,unless you’re the 2004 pistons…

GBeeParticipantThat says nothing about his ability to coach or not coach a superstar, but it speaks volumes of his system, his ability to get the most out of the talent that he has and his ability to teach. That sounds like an ideal fit for a young team trying to get from point A to point B. As for beyond that, who knows what he’d be able to achieve, but a team like the Suns needs to start building a foundation and develop good habits. Also, he’s been coaching this small ball, super guard heavy stuff for years which is the style du jour in the NBA right now.

holefillers1ParticipantJay turned down the Sixers in 2009, after Nova’s final four run. I believe he had preliminary talks with Stefanski and asked to be removed from consideration. No formal interview but if he turned down his hometown team I don’t think he even entertains the Phoenix job. He lives and works in the same area he grew up. He is a god in his own town…tough to top that.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantDidn’t know he turned down phili..he’s the toast of town. Hard to fault a man who has the job security he now has at 2.5 mill a year.

negguaryParticipantBecause you just broke the code for gossiping. Seems like you said it to either put a bad light on him. OR you wanted to make it seem like you have connects with inside stories that you really don’t have.

NBAjunkie81Participant3 point shot…….. Wright’s Instinct was to turn & seek out Roy Williams to console him……… How people react in moments of great pressure show you who they Really are……
And Wright showed the World that his 1st Instinct was to FEEL for his opponent…… That is absolutely Extraordinary……
Jay Wright’s Integrity & Compassion is off the Charts & a coach who cares about his Players above himself will Translate to Any & Every Level…….
Star players are human……. They often have large extended families depending on them to Provide Everything……… I don’t care How Rich someone is – That is a Lot of Stress…….
So to have a coach who actually cares about the man instead of just the player would make Jay Wright a Very Welcome coach to professional players…….
& I think he could go Very far in the NBA…… Word would get around the League & players would seek out a way to play for Jay Wright……
