javale mcgee
fiba alow only one naturalization player to play for a national team, so it could be or Javale or Nate, not both!
LMAO when i read the part where u say they'll Give China or Iran a run for their Money...hahahahahahaha
it seems that the main desire of big men is to play with foreign national teams... Kaman with Germany (i cannot believe he could speak one single word of german) McGee with Philippines, Karl Towns with Domenican Rep, Mullens with England.... in the the near future Team Usa will play Rondo as center....
I would have thought the Phillipines would compete with Austrailia for that qualifier. Makes sense to me but I guess im wrong
at least you wrote a post about basketball and not some crap about friggin Justin Beiber and Slash, so you're making improvement, have to change that icon though.
anyways, i dont think that is the Future line-Up of the Philippines, there are far more better players than japeth with fundamental skills, Japeth only brings what McGee Brings to the table, plus Japeth is a Bonehead,Foulprone Pogo Stick, Im not a Aguilar Fan, but if he cant play in the Philippine league with Chot reyes as Headcoach, which will currently be the Coach of the Team, then more likely, he wont play big minutes, We have Sonny Thoss a Fundamental player who dont do fancy moves but gets the baskets,
@rhamlacson
where you get your facts? i'll repost my list of young talents that are half halfs,
Bobby Ray Parks Jr. 6'5 guard/forward
Julius Armon 6'3 guard
Chirs Banchero 6'1 guard
Stanley Pringle 6'1 guard
Greg Slaugther 7'0 center
Moala Tuataa 6'7 forward
Yousef Taha 6'8 forward
Matthew Rosser 6'5 forward
Plus, Nate Wont play for us, he isnt Filipino, although his friends around him are Filipino,
PLEASE RESEARCH FIRST BEFORE YOU POST,
although i'm excited with Mcgee coming, Goaltending is Legal in FIba Rules and Boy Can McGee Jump, it showed on the series with the Lakers, it showed he can a forced on defense and Offense, his main Match-Up Problem in Asia would be Wang zhi zhi, Yi jian Lian, Hamed Hadaddi and the Jordan Center (I forgot the name), and of all those names, Mcgee is Far more better,
he aint playing for the Philippines, there is already a Line Up for the Smart Gilas 2.0, its tentative, but it will likely be the team that would represent for the Fiba Asia Championship cup, There current goal is to win the Fiba Asia Cup, and to secure a spot an the FIBA World cup in Spain, it would take a while to get Mcgee, the lineup is bolstered with the key addtion of Mat Rosser a 6'5" freak athlete who is capable of playing 1-2-3 spots,
Smart Gilas has not shown interest in Bringing Nate Robinson to the Program,
Ray Parks jr. and Slaughter is still in the Cadette pool
@Geothermal I'm pretty sure that goaltending is NOT legal in FIBA rules. The only difference in FIBA is the the imaginary circle extending above the cylinder doesn't exist, so there are no limitations to rebounding a ball on the rim and such. Did you mean to say illegal by chance?
oops, they have a different goaltending rule, i thought they have no goaltending, it would still favor Mcgee for his leaping ability,
"In international play, once the ball hits the rim, it is considered to be ‘live’, meaning that players can knock it off or tip it in. Under NBA rules, an imaginary cylinder exists over the basket and touching the ball while any part of it is within that cylinder is a violation"
Sorry again,
@geothermal
my dad is friends with chris banchero's dad, just a small tidbit there for ya

javale mcgee is set to play for the phillipine national team and is already waiting for the president of the phillipines to sign his naturalization papers
this maybe the fututre lineup of the phillipine national team in the next olympic qualifier in rio
PG-nate robinson- 1/8th filipino
SG- james yap/chris tiu
SF-bobby ray parks jr.
PF-Javale mcgee/japeth aguilar
Center-Greg slaughter/junmar fajardo both listed as 7'0
this would definitly gice china and iran a run for their money in the future for the rio olympic qualifier as far as the asian region is concerned
