TRC1991ParticipantI have been impressed with both of the forwards for VCU. Skeen was a highly recruited prospect who played at wake forest before transferring. He looks like an NBA level talent in the James Johnson mold. I like his inside-outside game and has the size and shooting touch to play at the next level.
Bradford Burgess is an interesting player. He plays out of position but looks to me like he has a quincy pondexter/kirk snyder type body and game.He is really athletic and at 6’6” 225, looks comfortable going to the rim and also isnt afraid to take big shots
what do you guys think about these players as far as their future?

The lake show2lol..naw the criteria is saying how good or bad a player is after one game. Example if he would have said " man Skeen is a first rounder his game is so NBA ready". It’s toeing the line and almost there but not quite..lol

ghettosermonParticipantSkeen has now made himself draftable in the 2nd. A SF at the NBA level. Burgess is only a junior and won’t declare but his game and body reminds me of Brandon Rush.

joecheck88ParticipantI don’t know if Skeen is as naturally talented as James Johnson but he should be able to carve out a career as a solid bench player. I wouldn’t put too much into his scoring in this game. He had a great game scoring but he will be mostly a defensive hustle player if he makes the league.

ghettosermonParticipant^^ Skeen is VCU’s leading scorer and shoots 39% from 3, he’s definitely got a good stroke. I made the comparison before but I think he can carve out a Udonis Haslem type role.

People can give opinions….just not on one game though. I can give my own? Sheesh.

TRC1991Participanthey captain smart-as$, skeen was a 4-star recruit coming out of high school and ranked as one of the top wake forest commits of the 2000’s…also he averaged 15 and 7 this year, how is he a flash in the pan?

Guess this was directed to me. I never said he was a flash in the pan. All I said was after one game, you jumped on here to say your thoughts about him and SOMEHOW in 40 mintues of game time, you all of a sudden have a full scouting report on him.
Just me, every dude on the site does it after one game, but give it time. Go watch more then one game on him before proclaiming something or comparing him to somebody.
That’s just me

joecheck88Participantya i heard he was a higher ranked recruit than hasheem thabeet and luke harangody when he was in high school. I know he is a good player I just don’t think that his offense is going to translate in the league(like I dont think he will be a double digit scorer). I think he will have a career similar to maybe ryan gomes.
