TyrekeJonesParticipantAfter watching Harden closely this series I am officially on the bandwagon. He is aggressive, is great in the pick and roll, has good decision making and when he is scoring at a high clip, the Thunder add a whole new dimension to their team. He has shown the ability to be a terrific playmaker and really looks to pass to his teammates and is very unselfish. I really believe he can become a quality Shooting Guard in this league and be a great young player next to Westbrook and Durant and for this Thunder team. He does need to learn to become more consistent and a better defender but he is only 21 years old and the way he approaches his game I see no problem in him doing so.

torukParticipantJames Harden was the one who most benefited from the perkins-green trade. He is starting to flourish with his increased minutes and bigger role as the team third option offensively.

6-6-6-lolParticipantHe def deserved to be drafted 3rd overall. I can’t believe OKC doesn’t start him.

DanEboyParticipantHe may not start the game…but he finishes them, and that is all that matters. They use him to spark the second unit during the game.I think it is a good strategy.
Too bad the Thunder can’t figure out how to finish games. Same as the Bulls, too young still.

PHILA9ParticipantI see James Harden having similarities to Ginobili on how crafty they both are with the basketball, getting into the lane, shooting, and passing.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantI love Harden’s game. I’m disappointed the Wolves couldn’t land him a few years back. I guarantee he’ll start over Sefolosha if not next year, then the year afterwards. I think the commentator that said he has an "old man’s game" was dead on. He’ll not exactly play full speed at all times, he’s very controlled. But when he wants to, he can turn it on and be aggressive and shoot the lights out. He’s also a guy that can be in the league for a while, because he’s not dependent on athleticism. If Harden, Durant, and Westbrook learn to work well together over the next few years (more importantly, if they stay together), then damn. They’ll be a ridicuous back court.

TallmanNYCParticipantSeriously after the success of the Perkins trade. The OKC want to play Sefo until someone trades them another starter. Everyone knew Ibaka was better than Green and a better fit for this team. But they got full on starter center out of the Green trade. You aren’t getting a starting center unless you play Green like he is your starting powerforward.
Maybe the same thing with Sefo. If they play him enough he can keep his scoring average about 5 points a game and then they can trade him for tallent. But yes everyone knows that Harden can play 48 minutes a game and coast to save fouls and still be better than Sefo.

i’m jus so offendedParticipantBoston really F’d up in not forcing him to be a part of that trade, Jeff Green is a RFA and played like a scared puppy once he put the green on, we’ll see if he’s worth the extension they’re going to throw at him. Boston could added like Avery Bradley, a 1st rounder, even Big Baby (about to be a FA) to land James. Would have been the perfect heir apparent to Jesus…

r377ParticipantSefo is a defensive specialist – all important for playoff time (just ask boozer) they play him and harden on the court at the same time.
Keep the team as is – with more experience and maybe add another player they should still be a force

HitsterParticipantI doubt that the Thunder would have traded James Harden and I do wonder now if the Celtics felt that Perkins might not be the same player he was prior to his injury or would certainly take more time than the Big 3 had to return to full form.
With three of the Thunder’s starters only scoring 2 points between them last night I now wonder if Harden does need to start and see as much playing time as he can alongside Westbrook and KD as that will spread the floor and allow him to get his fair share of shots. Since Green was traded they have lost a scoring option and the opposition can target Westbrook and KD with the current starters and reduce their effectiveness.
The only problem if Harden starts is that they lose bench scoring but surely they can find a veteran to provide that spark like Dallas had from Peja, Terry and co this series. I don’t think that OKC need to panic this was their first deep play off run and they could have still easily been in the series. Out West they are one of the younger teams and the core should be good for several more years.

kobyzParticipantJames Harden is a special talent but he has one noticeable weakness, he has very poor defensive awareness, he must fix that if he want to be a complete player!
