Robb_CParticipantI think Ivan Rabb is criminally undervalued.. Ive been watching him a lot these last few weeks and I see a very cerebral forward with great footwork and a terrific feel for the game. Hes one of my favorite prospects in this years draft.. Hes going to be good.

Anton123ParticipantHe started the season slow and people put him lower in the mocks, now he’s back to form and I’m pretty sure he will be back in the lottery. The mocks kind of just tell you which player is having a better season and not really predicting much at this point.
Jonathan Isaac was in the top 3 here while his shot was falling (and Aran was boasting how he was the first to see a top 3 pick in Isaac), now he’s 9th

Anton123ParticipantI would certainly draft Rabb in the second half of the lottery. He seems to have a Kawhi Leonard-like mindset, where he is very hard-working, willing to change his game and puts his love of the game over money and business.
That’s the kind of player I want on my team.

OhCanada-ParticipantAs much as I like Poeltl I wish the Raptors drafted Rabb. He looks great and should be a force role player in the NBA. He has a nose for the ball you cant teach and his perimeter game and ballhandling has noticably improved. Drafting Isaac ahead of Rabb would be a mistake lets shut that idea down right away.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantVery cerebral player with a strong feel for the game. Definitely has a strong motor and has expanded his range some. I just have questions about how much upside he has. He is not particularly strong or athletic and struggles to establish deep post position and finish against longer defenders, which results in some awkward flings at the basket at times. He still needs to work on his mid-range game imo, because I definitely don’t see him as an effective post up player at the next level. Defensively, he is pretty mobile and shows some promise as a solid pick and roll defender, but he is not a shot blocker.
I think rabb tops out as a role player at best. I probably wouldn’t take him in the lottery but he is worth a selection in the second half of the first round.

Anton123ParticipantHe is not a great shotblocker but isn’t a liability as a rim protector. He was better as a freshman, but now is more focused on his offense and rebounding.
He has the length, mobility and is pretty quick off his feet. Not many PFs are good shotblockers nowadays and I don’t think he will be below league-average in this area.
I agree he will probably be more of a face-up player at the next level, unless he gets A LOT stronger. But again, who really expects their PFs to be post players? A face-up/stretch PF is what most teams want.

Robb_CParticipantHes crafty and has great footwork/hands, Very good passer for his size and has confidence with the ball..Imo he could be a very consistent player in the league..
Hes a lottery talent…

HitsterParticipantRabb was thought to a legit lottery pick if he had declared in 2016, a lot of people had him going inside the top 10. I think that if he had declared he’d have gone in 8-13 range. But I respect his decision to return to college and with this year’s draft class being much less frontcourt heavy than last year’s I felt that he had a great chance to improve his game and establish himself as a legit top 10 pick and possibly within 5 to 8 range.
He has been fairly quiet this season but looks as if he is developing and there will be teams looking for a lower risk big man prospect who will likely snap him up by mid first round. I’d assume that he will declare this year, he may not become a star but he can have a good NBA career as a role playing starter or as top big man from the bench playing 20 plus mpg.
