I May Be WrongParticipantArguably one of the most anticipated series in a long time starts today. You can hate on both team but there is no denying the pure epicness that will come out of this series IMO.
What team y’all got for game 1? and Who willl be the X-factor today?

I May Be WrongParticipantHeat will win game 1. Final score 93-89
I’ll say Dwane Wade goes HAM today and finishes with 34 points and 7 assists

omphalosParticipantCeltics win it by 12 on the road, surprising a lot of people, get out to an early lead, survive the rally, and Ray Allen has his typical big game to start the series. Celtics outscore Heat in transition.

llperezI’m picking heat tO win series, but this whole thing is such a toss up. Should be a lot of fun

omphalosParticipantI expect the negs now, it was a pretty bold prediction, but if I’m right I’d better get my props haha.

I May Be WrongParticipanthey you never know bro, Knicks got dismantled by the C’s on their homecourt last series. The Celtics have been playing the best ball out of everyone in the playoffs thus far. I just think that the Heat are going to be motivated to go out and prove to the nation that they are legit contenders this year. But as llperez say, it should be a lot of fun!

goneParticipantKG at 9 seconds looks like Jeepers Creepers lol lol lol

FastAndFuriousParticipantBut for the entire series…..Rondo will be the X Factor, as much as I want Bron to win a championship…If Rondo is on his game Celtics will win, and look at the regular season when Rondo played great games they beat the heat
4 pts 17 assist Celtics Won
8 pts 16 assist Celtics Won
11 pts 10 assist 10 rebounds Celtics Won
Now when he plyaed terrible which he was in a slump towards the end of the season they lost
7 pts 5 assist 4 TO’s they lost
I truley believe he is the X-factor for the entire series

Scottoant93ParticipantI think this year the Playoffs are on a whole other level. We seen knicks-celtics, Grizz upset Spurs, Hawks make Jameer eat his words, and almost every game has been close, all in the first round. They’re more to come, Also Grizz up 10 at half against thunder

IndianaBasketballParticipantI like the Heat to win game one by 5-10 points, but the Celtics to win the series.
I just think the Celtics are the better and more well coached team. I think they’ll make the better adjustments from game to game and also close games out down the stretch better.
I like the Celtics in six.

Michael.S.ParticipantLove Wade’s effort in this game. He is guarding out his mind.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 10:31am #527352
I May Be WrongParticipantthe JAMES JONES show today!
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 10:35am #527355
Michael.S.ParticipantYes it is!
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 10:36am #527356
Michael.S.ParticipantGlen Davis hadno iea where the ball was there on that Wade drive
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 10:36am #527357
IndianaBasketballParticipantThat’s because the Celtics are helping on bums like Mario Chalmers and leaving James Jones open for three. Makes no sense. Let Chalmers drive into the paint and dare him to score… Don’t leave Jones.
Celtics have to make adjustments at that half, which they’re great at doing. Celtics have had a terrible first half. Turnovers. Bad shots. And they’re fouling too much.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 10:42am #527362
Michael.S.ParticipantWade is incredible right now.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 10:46am #527364
llperezIt’s not so much that their helping off jones as it is their just ball watching and turning thier heads everytime someone drives and the heat are doing a good job kicking back out to jones.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 10:47am #527365
omphalosParticipantNothing more frustrating than watching shooters who absolutely cannot create their own shot get left wide open. I hate bonehead defensive plays more than anything, and getting killed by a guy like Jones is too much for me.
Also, I hate that Delonte West is our backup point guard, never liked him in Cleveland, hated him coming to Boston and his play in this game is uninspiring to say the least, I don’t understand why people are so high on him.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 10:52am #527368
IndianaBasketballParticipantWade going off is understandable, but giving up so many wide open three’s to James Jones is unacceptable. The Celtics defense was sad in that first half, while the Heat’s was amazing.
Rondo getting into early foul trouble hurt a lot. IF he struggles this series, the Celtics will lose in 6.
Clean up turnovers. Better weakside defense. Get better shots on offense. Those are the half-time adjustments for the Celtics.

KayjayParticipantCelts are just getting out played currently. It wouldn’t be a game if it wasn’t competitive. I’m sure the Celts will make the right adjustments. Its going to be a good game, like it has been already. Can’t wait for the second half.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 10:54am #527372
IndianaBasketballParticipantI’m cracking up over here at Delonte trying to dunk twice… Then he got a technical at a bad time. I think he made a couple of shots, but he’s playing terrible.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 10:55am #527373
FastAndFuriousParticipantCalled it out, Rondo not in look what happens.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 10:58am #527374
KayjayParticipantThe Celtics need Rondo just as much as he needs the big three himself.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 10:59am #527375
KayjayParticipant…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 11:02am #527376
IndianaBasketballParticipantRondo needs the big three more than they need him in my opinion.
Put any pass first point guard on the Celtics and they’re still playing in the second round.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 11:08am #527377
FastAndFuriousParticipantYou have you own opinion but when Rondo played like Sh*t at the end of the regular season how did the Celtics fare? Not good, The Big Three need Rondo more at this stage of their career.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 11:12am #527381
IndianaBasketballParticipantI didn’t write they don’t need him because they do.
All I’m saying is that Rondo needs them more than they need him. Put any pass first point guard who can create off of the dribble, push the ball, etc on the Celtics and I think they’re still right here. Put Rondo on the Timberwolves and I think he struggles.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 11:28am #527385
FastAndFuriousParticipantOk Mike D’antoni
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 11:28am #527386
omphalosParticipantSmh at that flagrant foul on O’Neal, big flop by Jones, looked like a standard bump on a shooter to me.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 11:33am #527388
KayjayParticipantStill not over. Boston is boston. The mark of a championship shows that this can still go either way.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 11:44am #527390
omphalosParticipantSeems like every time we go on a run, we get hit with a questionable call. Refs seem to be favouring Heat a LOT to me, but I might be biased as a Celtics fan, can a neutral observer tell me what they think?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 11:52am #527394
omphalosParticipant…Nevermind, I think I just got my answer.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 11:54am #527395
FastAndFuriousParticipantAnd once again sub par game by Rondo, Celtics lose, say what you want Rondo is the factor, forget Pierce getting thrown out the game was already over, it’s been said by all 3 of the big three and it’s true……..
"WE go as RONDO goes" face it
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 12:01pm #527397
omphalosParticipantBack to an 8 point game with 4 minutes left? Hardly game over.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 12:04pm #527399
GrandmamaParticipantThe ref that tossed Pierce from the game needs to be canned by David Stern after this game, at least relieved of any further playoff officiating.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 12:06pm #527400
omphalosParticipant^ ^ ^ This man speaks the truth.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/01/2011 - 12:20pm #527403
omphalosParticipantOh well, I got the Ray Allen part right at least. Time for sleep before university today…
