A waaayy better play than jimmer at the NBA level. Jimmer is gettin no run. I like the kings drafting T-Jones this year bringing together a nice core of coach cal guys. I can see this working with isaiah being the floor general and moving tyreke to the 2. Who knows how long Calipari will stay at UK; this would be a nice fit in the NBA

Jimmer’s college game isn’t going to translate to the NBA, he just isn’t athletic enough to do the things he did in college in the NBA.

He’s going to have to find a niche and stick with it, he won’t be an all-star type player as some stated numerous times last year.

Jimmer will never be an allstar but i could see him as a spark off the bench in a 6th man role ala Jason Terry. His confidence is low right now but man can he still shoot and put up points in a hurry when hes hot. I think he needs to embrace this role and he could be a great contributor to any team. I just dont feel he has the playmaking skills, athleticism, or defense to be a starting point guard on a good team.

 But back to the subject, Isaiah is very talented, I think people slept on him because he was short(5’8) but he has things that translate to the NBA which you can’t teach that every coach,GM wants and that’s speed and quickness. He was very good at Washington and improved every year, I was shocked he went dead last in the draft, hard work pays off tho, I think he will have a pretty decent career in the NBA, not an all-star or anything, but a nice change of pace guard off the bench, sort of like his boy Nate Robinson.

yea i agree with you that isaiah is thier best option at point with tyreke at the two. but the kings still have too many scorers and no one to pass them the ball. isaiah is average at best at distributing the ball. They are a decent traditional point guard away from being a playoff contender.

as for isaiahs carrer i like your comparison to nate robinson. he can be an option at point but will most likely come off the bench and provide quality minutes

That’s where Johnson-Odom can earn a spot. If he can prove to Lakers head coach Mike Brown that he can manage minutes at two with a different, athletic look defensively, Johnson-Odom may have a sizable edge over Goudelock.
