wowthisisneatParticipantSo Indiana’s need for a PG is well known. While Bledsoe is the consensus 2nd PG they could trade down. Theres been alot of chatter for OKC to move up in the draft and the 10 spot would be very nice for them to select a big. Meanwhile Indy could dump a contract maybe jeff foster on okc and get the 21st pick to still get Bledsoe. What are your thoughts?

llperezi doubt they move down 11 spots just to unload a contract. Their bad contracts like dunleavy, foster, ford and murphy(if you consider him a bad contract) are in the last year of their deals. They probably arent playing the free agent market hard for another year. They might move some contracts during the season, but dont see them giving up a lottery pick to do so.

HotSnotParticipantI dont think Foster gets traded as a salary dump. From what I remember, quite a few teams tried to acquire him near the deadline last season and Indy said no. Then he got hurt? Indy seems to be content to ride out this seasons cap situation. They have only 15.6 million in contracts for the 11/12 season plus 7.5 million in team options on rookie deals. You add in 2 drafts worth of rookie deals and cap holds and they will be at about 27-30million for the 11-12 season. I think they plan on just waiting it all out.
Im also not certain Bledsoe is going to end up the second PG taken in this draft. Bradley seems to be moving ahead of him in the mocks. I agree Bledsoe should still be available at 21 though.
