So sounds like Larry is keen on staying pat with the team they have, I am sure there will be minor tweaks however.

What do you guys think about Larry’s comments?
    What I would like is:
    1. The first priority is getting Stephenson back in a blue and gold uniform.
    2. Hope Orlando cuts ties with Jameer Nelson and go hard after him as a starting PG and have Hill off the bench.
    3. Create cap room by finding a new home for Copeland and his $3.5mil contract and look to cut Scola as well for the same reason.
    4. Resign Lavoy Allen and go after Ivan Johnson to bring some more toughness back to front line that Indiana missed with no Hansbrough.
    5. See if Ben Gordon or Anthony Morrow will sign for cheap as a shooter to add to the team.

    C. Hibbert/Mahinmi
    PF. West/Johnson/Allen
SF. George/S.Hill (Bird and Vogel sound confident in him so I will take it)
    SG. Stephenson/G.Hill/Morrow or Gordon
    PG. Nelson/G.Hill/Watson

Of course Lance is the #1 goal for them this off season, but I would like to see them move George Hill and Scola if they could…  I still feel like they should’ve kept Miles Plumlee because he gave that front line much needed athleticism off the bench…

The Pacers need a scoring PG and need good bench players that can get their own shot…  George Hill is making too much money to sit on the bench…  I would actually like a JR Smith off the pine for them, but after how the Evan Turner deal went, idk if that’s a good idea with Lance…

Eric Bledsoe and Kyle Lowery make sense, but idk if they have enough to get them in trades…

Don’t think Nelson will end up with the Pacers. Yeah he gets traded but not to the Pacers. And I don’t think the Pacers will pick up Nelson off the waiver wire if he decides to opt out his contract with his next team.

Maybe the Pacers can somehow pry Dragic from the Suns instead? He’d be a good compliment for them. He’s even younger than Nelson and is better. Suns might just trade him, because they are doing surprisingly well. McDonanaugh did not expect this, yet knows the rebuilding process must still take 3-5 years in order to be complete, strong and ready to not just make the playoffs but look promising and continue to improve and make the playoffs as a higher seen in succeeding years to come. 3-5 years I said. Year 1 has just been completed, so in year 2, Suns will probably do well again and possibly better than they did this year. (last season had injuries to two key players, hopefully that won’t happen in the coming season.) So because they will probably do well again, McDonaugh will see this and realizing that the rebuild must take 3-5 years in order to be done correctly, he will make the adjustments necessary to keep the team from making the playoffs. Yes, suns fans will hate him for this, but they have to look at the bigger picture. Would you rather make the playoffs early for 1 year and then do poorly the next because the west is tough or would you rather make the playoffs right on schedule and then continue to make the playoffs in the succeeding years, improve your seeding, and do well in the playoffs and not get an early first round exit? I think they will be on board for the latter. Therefore Dragic gets traded right around the trade deadline. (I don’t know who for, I’m not going to try and predict that right now) And its very possible that he would want to play for a winning team instead of another losing team (which he was just on. So thus Pacers should go after him instead of Nelson. Yes, Nelson is possible too, and not a bad player for them. Nelson does compliment the Pacers, but Dragic is the better player and he is a better fit than Nelson.

For those who still don’t see Dragic getting trading at the trade deadline. Here’s another reason. Yes, the Suns are young, and right now he is mentoring Goodwin. But the Suns did well last year, better than most expected even with the injuries to Bledsoe and Dragic. When those injuries happened, the Suns were forced to start Goodwin as well as Smith. They didn’t win too many games when that happened, but Goodwin looked promising. What if next season, that happens again or something similar (wouldn’t surprise me one bit, happens a lot) Once again Goodwin looks promising and does even better than he did this season. (Could very well happen) So McDonaugh decides that it is time for Phase 2 of the rebuilding process: Let the young players start and allow them to develop on their own without the veteran help. Thus Dragic gets traded for more young players and possibly one veteran player just in case. And voila rebuilding process is finished one or two years ahead of schedule and it is still a good one and thus the Suns still make the playoffs that year 1-2 years ahead of schedule (probably closer to 1) And its still a complete rebuild just put on the fast track because the Suns seem to have a sharp learning curve.

Pacers can trade George for Dragic straight up if they would want him so bad.  No way Suns trade Dragic for anyone else. Heart and soul.

I felt like Scola was was an important piece to this team. He was productive when he got to play. Can they offeer Stepenson the most money? One thing to note is if they had the same team and Miami is broken up, I imagine they have the best shot to come out of the East.
