I would have taken the deal with thier 2nd rounder included and heres why. package the 10 and 16 to move up im sure they could have at least gotten the 8th pick which is projected currently as luke babbit and im sure he could make a solid starting small forward for them. with the second rounder I would also have moved up a little and taken willie warren who was once seen as a lottery pick.

I heard differently i heard just jonny for the 10th pick. why would the wolves give up two extra draft picks when flynn alone was the 6th pick overall last year???

Knicksboy you are a little off. The Wolves just rejected a #10 pick for Flynn offer.

    monroe/babbitt/brewer/gomes/hollins/jefferson/love and darko

I cant say I see much weakness and I do see a lot of depth

then they could start working on the backcourt
rubio next year obviously is the key there.

Wolves still need a true center and while Darko is a center, to me hes not a starter maybe a decent backup but thats it. I wouldn’t like this at all because then the wolves are stuck with Al/Kevin and Monroe you would obviously have to move one of them as i dont see them keeping all three.

wolves need a guy like wesley johnson. Maybe with a Jefferson package that could get them the 5th, then they could get johnson and cousins, giving them a true center to let love work his game outside the paint.

Yahoo reported the Wolves rejected Flynn for #10.

They followed up by saying the Wolves were exploring Flynn + 16 + 23 for “A PACKAGE THAT INCLUDES” #10.

Granger would be great for MN, but I don’t know who else they’re after.

I could see Hibbert, but that would mean losing Darko too, so in essence it’s Flynn + Darko + 16 + 23 for 10 and Hibbert, which doesn’t even begin to make sense.

You missed the part about “a package that includes #10”. This is huge seeing as another deal for the 10 straight up was turned down earlier and suggesting that Flynn and 2 picks be traded for the 10 pick is crazy. I’m glad you brought it to the table, but misinformation does lead to -‘s

    How about this
Wolves receive 10th pick, Head, Murphy
Pacers receive Flynn, 23rd pick, Milicic

    Wolves starting lineup
PG 16th pick (Bradley or Bledsoe)/Head
    SG Brewer/Ellington
    SF 4th pick (Wesley Johnson)/Gomes
    PF Love/Murphy
    C Jefferson/Hollins or 10th pick

    Pacers starting lineup
    PG Flynn/Watson
    SG Rush/Jones
    SF Granger/Dunleavy
    PF Hansbrough/McRoberts
    C Hibbert/Foster or 23rd pick(Sanders or Alabi)

Wolves get a quality backup point guard, and a great back up 4 to Love. They also receive the 10th which they could use to select Bradley or Bledsoe or they could select Whiteside at the 10 and leave Bradley or Bledsoe for the 16th. With Whiteside you could settle the debacle down low with Jefferson and K Love. But I would select Whiteside as more of a replacement for the future. He could learn a lot from Jefferson and hopefully reach his full potential and once he does then trade Jefferson. (Probably 2 or 3 years)

Pacers get the PG they covet in Flynn, They receive the 23rd and could possibly select a better center than Hibbert like Sanders or Alabi.

Note: I could also see the 16th pick being traded to the Pacers, while the Wolves keep 23rd where they could still select Bledsoe. The Pacers could then select Udoh at the 16th who they seem to like.
