I know it’s only been 7 games for Indiana, but I am officially worried about this team. They have no identity, even in the wins they’ve had it hasn’t been a consistent brand of basketball that one it for them. I understand, new players, new coach etc but no matter what a team should always have the ability to play D and no one on this team is giving that effort.
They seem very lackluster from the first whistle to the last, Paul George really does not seem happy with this team either. To be honest my biggest concern isn’t even George, it’s what this mentality doing to Myles Turner as it will have an influence on his future.

Teague and Ells is just a horrible idea, Ellis got abused by MKG tonight it was just sad. I don’t care what Indiana do, but they need to make some changes and I would hate them playing around with Teague, George, Young, Turner and Jefferson on the court at the same time. Turner can operate in space and Thad can play the 3, it could create an identity that PG knows with having a big line-up, at the very least start Miles and use Ellis as 6th man.

They will need to turn it around soon or this franchise could very well lose the most talented player it has ever seen.

Should say “I wouldn’t hate them playing around with Teague, George, Young, Turner and Jefferson” at the same time just to see how it looks.

As an OKC fan, I would love for the Thunder to make a trade for Paul George. I just don’t think they have the pieces to intrigue Indiana, but also I don’t know how the trade will affect the Thunder. You can’t get a player of PG13’s caliber by simply trading Enes and a 1st.

Yeah we don’t have a chance at all for Paul George. All we’d have to offer is Oladipo and Adams and I’m not sure that’d be beneficial for either side

Exactly. I saw a trade that involved Andre Roberson, Enes and a 1st for PG. OKC loses too much bench production trading Enes. Joffrey looks as soft as Pau out there sometimes, so he cannot be relied on.

If push comes to shove and George does get annoyed enough to want a trade, that might be Boston’s chance

As painful as it would be to see PG go, I could still get behind him in Boston and I think Indiana could get something half decent in return.

Brooklyn Pick, Jaylen Brown, Terry Rozier and Amir Johnson (Salary reasons) with that Indiana would have two young talented guys to put next to Turner and have more than likely 2 lottery picks going into the off-season in a deep draft.

I wouldn’t hate a team of Thomas, Bradley, George, Crowder, Horford is a really nice starting 5 that could compete with Cleveland IMO.

Yeah Boston has been a team since Brad Stevens got there that I’ve been really wanting to become a contender. It helps that my #1 team is in the West, but I think if I had to concede to any team, Boston would be up there

Also, that trade wouldn’t be too bad for Indiana. Brown, Rozier, Turner and whoever they got with the Brooklyn pick (Giles, Jackson, Smith Jr., Fultz, Fox, Ball, Tatum, Isaac, Adebayo, this draft is super deep holy) would all be relatively around the same age and they could all be in their primes around the same time. They’d definitely be worse for a few years than they normally would be with PG, but they could land a steal in the late lotto like Phoenix did at 13 with Booker and it could all pay off. Either way, I just don’t see them beating Cleveland anytime soon

As a Cetics fan I would make that trade all day.

PG’s gotta get outta there. He’s waisting his prime years on a team that is not attracting quality free agents that make them a contender.

Pacers should have never paired Ellis with Teague. They’re both ball handling guards that dont play well off the ball. The rest of the team either consists of good young talent that may be able to contend in the future, or mediocre talent.

if Nate has the (guts) to tell Ellis he’s coming off the bench. Sooner would be better than later, but I’m afraid it’ll be later.

He is so inefficient. His box scores are awful these first games.
