rileymcshea3ParticipantIf you were Andre Drummond what college would you go to?
He basically could call any college and say he wants to play for them and the chances are they would probably let him because he is a beast center that no team has and that no one can guard .
Connecticut? And try to get them to win back to back titles but with out Kemba what are the real chances of them winning again?
What about Noth Carolina ? You already have the right peices to win it all and they already have big men and Drummond wouldnt have to play the whole game .
But if i were him I would go to Ohio State . Could you imagine a front line of Jared Sullinger and Andre Drummond? And they still have Aaron Craft and William Buford that sounds like a good team to me.
But were would go if you were him?

Cardinal_FanParticipantIf i were Drummond i would just stay in state and go to UConn, a guy with this much talent would be able to impact whatever school he goes 2 in a huge way. UConn would probably lose Lamb and maybe Orihaki to the draft but im sure if Drummond commits some talented players would follow. At this point i dont think there is a way he can NOT be the number 1 pick unless he gets seriously hurt. Also Calhoun has a good history of developing bigs, say what you want about Thabeet in the pros but he got a lil better every year at UConn.

MagikKnickParticipant"Connecticut? And try to get them to win back to back titles"
How would it be back to back?
Anywho, if I was him I would definetly go to college, he has a lazy thing in his game b/c he knows hes better than everybody else in HS, so he kinda coast it…in the NBA he cant do that for 1 second, so 1 year of college would help shake that. Its hard to say where he should choose w/o knowing who’d be on his team. Lamb and Oriaki might be gone next season, Same will Sullinger and Buford, and NC/UK are stacked, but I dont see him being "the man" w/ either of those teams…
I think he should go to college, but in reality…I dont think he will…

LBJKDParticipantHe isn’t going to college and you can tell by the interviews he has this swagger that I wanna be different and standout like he does physically on the court. I havent seen too too many game clips but in the few I’ve been he is too good for high school ball. College would bruise the immaturity and ego a little and a new challenge. IMO i think UCLA because of they just develop solid pros one ‘n’ done or not. As well as Kentucky because they always get a top 2 point guard out of high school who can feed this man all day and calipari knows how to make pros. Ohio State is a great place too but I just like Ohio State not because i think he would make a great great fit.

ilike.panochasParticipantUConn would be great for Drummond. Calhoun preaches defense and has a history of developing defensive Centers. If Drummond really wants to reach Dwight Howard’s level, Calhoun would be a great coach to learn defense from.

hiphopismylifeParticipantYeah I feel like he’s going pro. I want to see him in college and if the age limit changes he might have to go for a year, but hearing him say he doesn’t have any interest in talking to coaches is not a good indication of him committing anywhere.
But if UConn is in fact the favorite he may be waiting to see that Calhoun will definitely be there.

NJHooper95ParticipantUconn is the favorite if he goes to college, but I think he will go pro. Uconn chances of winning it with or without Drummond is good. Everybody is saying they cant win without Kemba, but nobody thought they could win with Kemba last year. Uconn was pick to finish like 8 or 9th in the Big East, no one expected them to really be any good. Drummond has alot of a game but it would serve him well to play for a good college coach, whether it be Calhoun or someone else. He hasnt been pushed in High School, or AAU, because they pretty much let you have your way if you are a star player. But he wont get that same treatment in the league.

Chilbert arenasParticipantI know it’s not on his list but he should go to Florida. They already have a plethora of guards and Patrick Young would be a perfect compliment to Drummond. Also I really want to see a Kentucky Florida match up in which he is playing against Anthony Davis and the rest of the gang. Bill Donovan has already produced two great bigs in Al Horford and Joakim Noah so why not?

Chilbert arenasParticipantUNC is too loaded in the front court already, he wouldn’t get the attention he would like. UConn would be great and Oriakhi would be a great compliment to Drummond.

rileymcshea3Participantchilbert arebas i agree with you but they could have like a lakers rotation and just play 3 big men and even out the minutes because there is 40 minutes at pf and 40 minutes at c and if you split that with 3 people and get around 26 minutes per player with Drummond ,Henson, and Zeller and then they get more rest

ChrispyParticipantIf I were Andre, I would cash an NBA paycheck ASAP and then deeply consider which school to get an on-line degree from.

theTKOshowParticipantI read an article that he could still go to college this year so therefore uconn could win back to back championships and then he could cash in on a nice paycheck in the nba. He should definitely go to uconn because its a great program thats close to home. calhoun has produced good players in the past and is well established plus he can go up against oriakhi everyday in practice. players in the nba have talked about how much fun march madness and college is so andre might regret not going a few years from now. If he goes to uconn this year, hes get great coaching, a taste of teh university life and still cashes in on schedule with his graduating class

mikeyvthedonParticipantYou expect me to say somewhere else? Screw Tony Woods, Andre Drummond all day baby! But, here is what I think Andre should do. Whatever he wants to do. He is 18 years old, and he is blessed with an incredibly rare combination of size, strength and athleticism. Combined with the talent he possesses, I think he could do anything he wants to do, whether it be going to college or taking a prep year. It is really easy to tell a person what they should do when you have no real connection or idea of what there thought process contains. Just because it is easy does not believe one should do it, however. College may make Andre slightly more prepared for the competition he would be facing in the pro’s, but I do not think it would be an incredible difference in the long run. I hope he does whatever he feels like doing, and I wish him the best success in doing it.
