marcusfizer21ParticipantI totally forgot about Whiteside… Still amazed by his physical ability but still needs a looooot of work… Is it me or has he gained weight?

DolanCareParticipantHassan Whiteside. Proof that basketball is a game of skill, not combines and measurements. And to answer your question, it did seem like he packed on the pounds.

HitsterParticipantHe’s listed at 260lbs on one site I noticed, he was 227lbs at combine according to this site’s data. He was always about upside and was very high on an early 2011 mock draft Aran did I recall.
He could get another NBA chance perhaps, look at Alex Ajinca who got himself back on a roster last year. But Hassan is 25 years old now so will be battling against younger guys. Hopefully he gets a training camp invite and might make a roster somewhere.

Chilbert arenasParticipantHe gained a good amount of weight, but not the good kind, looked doughy but didn’t seem to hinder his athleticism, the guy is still a freak. There is a shortage or rim protectors in the NBA today, he needs to capitalize on that.

omphalosParticipantI wouldn’t mind Boston taking a flyer on him, we could use someone who has the ability to be a shot-blocker and Stevens might be able to help him find a way to be effective.

moochieeParticipantHe oozes potential. I don’t know what the problem is, but somebody needs to take this guy under their wing. I think he’s worth picking up just on the off chance that he can turn himself into a contributor, he’s been pretty effective so far in SL.
His highlights from China are pretty impressive, even his footwork looks pretty nice; youtube.com/watch?v=sYU_SIh8IXo

JoeWolf1Hated his game. He was a physical marvel who wanted to shoot 15 foot fade aways and play face up ball. I didn’t catch him this summer, and I haven’t seen him play in a few years, but I never saw the deal with him. Jerome Jordan was the only decent center he played his freshman year, and Jordan schooled him…twice.
