- Jawann McClellan Arizona
- Jason Rich FSU
- Mike Mercer South Florida
- Eric Devendorf Syracuse
- Davon Jefferson USC
- Byron Eaton Oklahoma State
- Tasmin Mitchell LSU

B FreeParticipantMike Mercer from USF should have. He blew his knees’ out but could still play at a high level averaging 12 pts in the big east. Former McDonalds AA went to Geogia then transfered after academic problems.

Lotto StudParticipantMercer was not a Mickey Ds player, but I did love him as a prospect.

B FreeParticipantAlso no offense but the white guys on that list never had a shot there problem was athletisism

tubbyman1ParticipantJon Scheyer could of been a decent back up guard if he improved his defense.

OhCanada-ParticipantYeah John Scheyer will play in the NBA one day. I bet he will improve his defense, and then he can sort of just blend into a system the way he did at Duke his first couple of years. Maybe as a third string but I can see him making it.

apb540ParticipantNope non of them were destined to be 5+ year vets. Maybe a 1 year rental or 10-day contract is in store for one of them in the future.

ChrispyParticipantThe title of the thread implies that all these guys had a shot in the first place or if they did somehow screwed up royally. Many of these guys never had a prayer and others just fizzled when faced with better opposition. Dyson is putting up decent d-league numbers but has a negative A/T ratio and Scheyer makes my favorite stiff Chris Quinn look like the fastest man on the planet. Davon Jeffeson blew it by coming out too early and then packing on weight before workouts. If your trying to get paid for being in shape it only makes sense to show up for an interview…IN SHAPE! Davon Jefferson, "I blew it!".

SwatLakeCityParticipantI think both Sheyer and Dyson would make decent NBA pros one day. Will only be backups but at least at least they’ll get minutes. Better then playing internationally or playing in the d-league.

ChrispyParticipantGoing over seas gives guys like the potential to make as much or more than the league minimum (which they will be getting if they ever get to the NBA) AND gives them playing time. Follow me here: Playing time is important because it allows you to 1) actually play and 2) improve the amount of $ you can make by… oh yeah, actually playing and showing what you can do. International ball is a great choice (better?) for most of these guys. Don’t knock it, brother!

afree15ParticipantI like Dyson getting to the NBA. Jon Schyer will not, I saw him play in the D-League when they played the Springfield Armor, not even close enough athleticism to hang. Could be an amazing player overseas though.
