This year, it was obvious all season that there was no clear #1, with Kansas probably being the closest to that. It just felt to me that this year there were no elite teams, and last year there were multiple elites. How does everyone think these 2 teams would’ve done last year? Honestly, I don’t think either one could’ve beaten Kentucky, Wisconsin, or Duke, and would have a tough time with Arizona and Michigan St.

However, I don’t even care because it was one of the best finishes I’ve ever seen. Too bad the officiating had such an obvious influence on the game, but I think I’ll just remember the last 2 shots

And they were almost the same teams just one year younger……. So if This year’s version of UNC & Nova played Last year they may have met in the Final as well….. Maybe….. Maybe not….. but you can’t simply assume 18 y/o Lottery Talent wins Evrery time in the NCAA Tourney b/c it doesn’t……

There were Several teams in this year’s tourney playing With NBA Lottery Talent playing starring roles….. I grant you that those teams were not as good as last year’s Wisconsin, Kentucky & Duke…… But this years Kansas, Michigan St, Cal, Maryland, Kentucky & Duke all featured NBA Lottery / 1st round Talent…..

But these teams Villanova, UNC & I will include Oklahoma were Great TEAMs filled w/ upper classmen…… I don’t think you can automatically make those assumptions…..

And if you remember going Into last year’s Tournament Kentucky was considered the Only "Super Team"…… No one really believed Duke or Wisconsin was an unbeatable team……

As the Tourney went along & Kentucky was exposed inthe Final 8 when Notre Dame nearly beat them,,,,,, we Then elevated Wisconsin & Duke b/c they were having fantastic Tourneys…….

     Duke was a 35 – 4 & a #1 seed……. Wisconsin was 36 & 4 & also a #1 seed…… But last year this Villanova team was Also a #1 seed (upset in the 2nd round) & this Carolina team made it to the Final 8 & was knocked out by Wisconsin……

I think it would be closer than you think…… Tyus Jones was the Final Four MVP last season….. & yes he was a late 1st round pick….. but it wasn’t Jahlil Okafor or Justice Winslow…….. College Basketball isn’t like the NBA…… Stars give you an edge but it doesn’t guarentee anything……
