Lotto StudParticipantCalipari already has Noel and WCS as his bigs and brings in next year Dakari Johnson and Marcus Lee.
Will Noel declare anyway with hopes of being a lottery pick still or does he return?
Will Calipari persuade WCS to leave early?0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/13/2013 - 1:37pm #747179
NbanflguyParticipantWhy would a coach ever persuade someone to leave early?

Sewok15ParticipantIf the time is right for Noel to leave (which it certainly is) Coach Cal will let him know. He won’t make a kid leave that wants to stay but he has no problem telling it to the kids like it is.

eci_eliteParticipantWhy is it right or Noel? He falls if he comes out. A year rehabbing and in weight room helps him.

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantLast time I checked CAl wants Willie to stay, Noel is 18 not 30 a torn ACL is not a death sentence especially with today’s medicine. He’s still top 3

JM40ParticipantLet’s not forget Kyrie was injured for a good part of his Freshman year, but still declared early, went first, and is the stud of that draft.

IGO4TWParticipantKyrie had a toe injury which is nothing close to a torn acl…You hear all those so called experts worried about whether Derrick Rose will ever be the player he used to be(we re talking about a top 5 pg here). But then again there’s Adrian Peterson…
Coming from a guy with two acl surgeries who of course never played sports professionally i can tell you that you don’t feel the same after an injury like that happens.I do believe Nerlens is top 3 though but mostly because this draft class isn t that good

McDunkinI say it doesn’t effect next season at all as far as bigs go.
i still see Noel leaving and WCS (if his knee is willing) will get his minutes for the rest of the season and will also leave early.
And you guys have to stop forgetting the guy who started this 13 recruiting class Derek"wipe me down" Willis

machu46ParticipantThe biggest effect it has in my opinion is that WCS is probably going to go to the draft for sure now now that he’ll be able to prove to GMs that they should take a chance on him.
Noel is still a top 5 pick.

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantWy would Noel return? NBA scouts already told ESPN that he is still top 3 plus do you remember K-Mart Breaking his leg and still being number one? ACL isn’t the end of you’re career and who ever picks early still has a couple of years before they are relevant so why wouldn’t they draft Noel early? And why come back so you can end up like Rbbie Hummel and tear another one?
Also Wllie was projected first round anyway before this by scouts due to his potential and size, athletic ability
