 Their draft choices were puzzling to say the least. They moved up and took solid players but in the end they have a logjam at the PF position and at the SF as well. It seems as though they must have a deal in the works because it just appeared that they were stockpiling draft picks. I have heard things that stretch from Dwight Howard to trying to pry away Tyreke Evans or Rudy Gay but nothing eventuated today. This is the Rockets current situation at PF:

Luis Scola

Patrick Patterson

Marcus Morris

Jon Brockman

Jon Leuer 

And then today they added Royce White and Terrence Jones who could play either forward position not to mention there appear to be extensive talks with Donatas Motiejunas for him to sign a contract and come over. I feel as though Leuer and Brockman will get waived early on but what do you make of Morris, Patterson, Scola and the new additions?

With things not going in there favor in the draft in terms of acquiring two top 10 picks i mau seem that Houston is kinda in no mans land again. But unlike recent years i pretty sure more trades are going to happen with them. With Lowry wanting out, Scola and Martin not in longterm plans, and a stock pile of talented young fowards i see 2-3 trades going down. Only things is its hard to pinpoint who they’re after. Linked to Dwight, Josh Smith,Gay,Gasol or basically anyone on the trade block. They did to much manuevering to stand pat with their current roster now, even Mchale wouldnt commit to saying all 3 draft picks would still be there by training camp. Something is brewing in Houston and as a fan i cant wait to find out.
