Lebron’s HairlineParticipantHouston gets: Paul millsap, earl Watson. Utah gets: Kevin Martin. Why? Utah needs a player that is a legitimate scorer from the perimeter that can compliment their bigs which is what Kevin martin brings, they also need to get future star Derrick Favors into the starting lineup. Houston gets a true veteran leader and a nice all around power forward. I know Houston has 300 forwards on their roster but none of them will be able to step in and produce like millsap, earl is just a throw in to make salaries match. If neither team doesn’t like what they are seeing out of their player, they can simply let them walk after the season and use their cap space on another player. This trade works through ESPN trade machine: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantEither one doesn’t matter, I was just thinking of a trade that will get either millsap or big al so favors can start. All I know I Utah is not going to keep both or either of them after this season

LipstickParticipantlol why would they want Al when they just signed Asik and drafted White, Jones, and two years ago a Morris twin? And to give an unprotected first round pick? No way.
Would be kind of funny if Utah traded him to Orlando for Aaron Afflalo.

Captain LParticipantI like Aflalo but he’s not worth Big Al or Milsap strait up, if Orlando includes a unprotected 1st round pick for Big Al and a filler type player it might be a good move. The Jazz like their 4 young players, Favors, Hayward, Kanter and Burks but they aren’t going to move Big Al or Milsap unless the trade would make them a better team, the Jazz FO don’t believe in giving young players playing time until they earn it, not just because they have great potential . With the off season pickups of Marvin Williams, Mo Williams, and Randy Foye I Think the Jazz want to see how these players fit and pan out and see how the young players show improvement. I do think Big Al or Milsap will likely be moved by the trade deadline but I’d be surprised if it happened before Christmas.

LipstickParticipantLotto-protected for a few years and then unprotected in 2015 or ’16? Sure, but this isn’t the T-Wolves of 2006. No team that’ll win less than 30 (Houston, Orlando) is giving up an unprotected first round pick.

corneggParticipantHouston is stacked with power forwards,

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantObviously I clarified that if you read my whole post. It makes sense because Martin and Houston want to part ways and millsap and Kevin both have expiring contracts so the risk is minimal. By the way none of Houston’s 4,000 forwards can step in and contribute on both ends like Paul can

eazy_peachesParticipantI think Paul Millsap is still underrated.
I’d love to have him, and I think he’ll be able to bring a solid piece to Utah if they decide to move him.

LipstickParticipantI would be really intrigued by the thought of Millsap in Boston. Boston has all of a sudden become deep and could ship one of their backcourt players + Melo/Sullinger + picks. I would say no way Boston ships what they recently acquired, but Ainge is unpredictable.
Too lazy to look up salaries, so I’ll just fantasize about a Rondo-Pierce-Millsap-Garnett core. mmmmmmmmmm
