Just saw the highlights of game 3 and kind of suprised nobody made a topic regarding Horford’s ejection. He was playing really well (according to the box score) till that point, with his ejection being a huge blow for Atlanta’s chances.

Now my question is if you guys thought the decision to eject Horford was correct. As I see it, Delladova makes an ackward fall to the ground, but tries to oversell his fall (maybe to slow down Horford getting back or anything) and as a result falls into Horford’s legs. Now his reaction might have been a bit overblown, but to eject him for that is way to harsh in my opinion. Let the best players play and don’t eject them unless they do something way out of bounds. What’s your take?

It’s debatable, Dellavedova was obviously not trying to do anything to him and Horford overreacted. Also, I think the reason the refs made it an ejection, was because the home crowd was so angry, in Atlanta I think it would just be a technical foul.

It was obviously a big blow for the Hawks and I would rather they kept him in the game, however, it’s easy to understand why they made their decision the way they did.

To me, it looked like Horford wound up to do some WWE style elbow dropping, but changed his mind on his way down. I don’t think he straight up whiffed on the elbow like I’ve seen some people suggest. It warranted a flagrant 1, but a 2 was ridiculous.

This is the second time Dellanova was involved in something suspect. I am sensing a trend but really these Eastern Confererence series does not matter because Cavs will probably lose to GSW in 4 or 5 games.

No doubt about it. To believe otherwise means you’re either a Hawk fan or someone who actually pays attention to Reggie Miller.

I didn’t like that call, but regardless… Hoford has to be smarter. He really let his team down by losing his cool. I know they’re pissed at Dellanova (lol @ Sheltwon), but they just can’t afford to lose a player as important as Horford.

Mike Scott ain’t doing ish in there. Had Horford not gotten ejected, the Hawks probably win that game.

I have a hard time seeing LeBron getting ejected if he was in Horford’s position. I have a hard time seeing even a guy like DeAndre Jordan getting ejected if he was in Horford’s position. I think stars get preferential treatment. I don’t like it but I acknowledge that it probably exists. I don’t understand why Horford didn’t get a little mroe benefit of the doubt. He’s not a random role player. Not a super star but he is ATLs best player.

Flag1, sure. Flag 2 and ejection is refs being cowards. I do believe the home court plus the fact that it was against LeBron’s team at least had something to do with it…maybe not even deliberately but subconsciously for sure.
