Who cares about what the difference between Rap and Hip-Hop are? To me, it is much more important how good the artist is than what genre they are considered. Wiz is nice simply because there really isn't anyone else. Maybe if The Game would ever drop the R.E.D. album that would change lol
Not a part of this discussion, but that new Lupe stuff that Kobeeee posted is nice... Too bad his album keeps on getting pushed back... Not sure if he's got anything else like it on the album, but it's good to see him trying to raise awareness of some of the stuff that's happening.
...with the general consensus on here, in that about 95% of this bull you hear on the radio or tv that they call hip hop/rap whatever...is indeed trash...guys do have a point, the rap game is evolving just like basketball is, the artists are making these bubble gum, dumbed down pop songs with catchy hooks cuz it appeals to crowd that will go out and uy their album/merchandise/etc (teenage kids)....im only 22 yrs old but as a true hip hop head whos passionate about the craft, it does hurt my heart to see the genre as a whole get publicly p!ssed on...i still grew up on the 90s classics....pac, biggie, big L, bone thugz, ugk, outkast, nas, the lox, capone n noreaga etc...i could go on for days..but whatever, real hip hop shines underground cuz its darkest there! real heads know what it is...there are still great artists out there doin their thing....some that still write meaningful bars with substance= joe budden, jadakiss, immortal technique, z-ro, atmosphere, devin the dude...sh*t im ramblin but i could go on for days! im real reluctant to hear any of these new cats that people rave about but i will say i do like j.cole, big k.r.i.t., curren$y (not really new but just now gettin his well deserved shine), and jay electronica...LONG LIVE HIP HOP
