Toronto16ParticipantI’d just like to say, even if the Heat win this (4 min left currently) they STRUGGLED to get this win. Raps played gritty all night, Wade and Bosh both got away with a travel late in the game, and the refs were really pulling in favour of Miami. And most importantly Bargani is the worst player in the NBA. The Heat are over rated.

Toronto16ParticipantCause he takes so much shots. And if you watch him on the defensive end, he plays none whatsoever and commits stupid fouls.
Just a note, Chris Bosh was not in the game in crunch time.

Tha_PrinceParticipantDeRozan has really impressed me the last two games. Actually has a mid-range game this year, ball handling is looking better too.

OhCanada-ParticipantBargnani has major focus issues, but doesnt mean hes the worst playerin the NBA. He isnt as bad defensively as you say, and he has horrible shot selection when his shot is off.
The Heat are very uncoordinated and im starting t believe Bosh will be traded. He just isnt that guy, and he has now been officially exposed. He played only 21 minutes in this game and it was by no means a blowout. Bosh was on the benhc in crunch time.
Also I am completly honest when I saw Wade and Lebron had so many bad calls and were aloud to travel so many times in this game it is unbelievable. If you get into them defensively its a foul. Derozan and Weems were hacked at all game it was very one sided reffereeing and anyone could see that. Derozan got to the line 11 times but it should have been 20/25 no lie.

Tha_PrinceParticipantI really want to see Bargnani at the 4, I dont think he will look as lost out there considering thats his natural position. I hope they bring in Dampier to fill the hole that the raptors have been missing for awhile.

OhCanada-ParticipantI mean its like a Joke, Wade, James was gaurding Derozan, Weems all game.Derozan and Weems bread and butter is penatration and getting to the line. They took 17 combined foul shots in this game, yet Wade and Lebron had a combined 2 fouls all game long. Unbelievable.

Toronto16ParticipantIt’s true Oh Canada. Weems and DeRozan were getting HACKED by James and Wade, and the refs swallowed their whistle. But yet all James and Wade have to do is raise their voice, and they are going to the line.

OhCanada-ParticipantWhen the Heat come to Toronto I think Bosh will actaully release his bowles on the court and be removed from play. Would that be a double tech under the new rules lol.

OhCanada-ParticipantThey really should start looking into making DeMar the number 1 option in Toronto NOW. As bad as that may seem this would be so much better for the maturity of this ball club and DeMar Derozan himself. When he gets penatration and gets into the lane good thigs happen, and once he starts dropping 20ppg consistantly, and the media covers him more he will get more respct and even more fouls called to him. Bargnani is a ticket seller, just like Barbosa and Klieza. Guys like Johnson, Weems, DErozan, Wright and Evans are some real players.
It was funny DeMar was on the floor with Anderson, Wright and Dorsey and they were rnning the offense through JUlian Wright. Come on, are you guys kidding. If the Raps want any success ever Derozans gotta be targetted as the go to guy and everyone in the locker room has to know.

Toronto16ParticipantWell that’s why we need a good floor general who knows how to run and offense and tell guys which spots they are supposed to be in on the floor. DeRozan and Weems and even Ed Davis when he returns would benefit SO much if they had a good PG.
Kyrie Irving please…..

omphalosParticipantI love that Calderon had a "good" game with so few assists, Toronto commentators are funny. It’s no coincidence that DeRozan is playing better with Barbosa out; just throw the kid to the fire and see what you get, I like his potential and willingness to take big shots.

torontoraptors10ParticipantI agree Bargnani does look lost out there and he does move on defense. He always looks hesitant and doesn’t know what to do. He either doesn’t grasp what needs to be done or he doesn’t have the mental strength to be a #1 option. DeRozan looks solid, I think he should play a bit more and Weems is a stud! Julian Wright definitely needs more playing time. I like his hustle and grit that he brings to the team. Bosh was talking about when he comes back to Toronto, he doesn’t know how it is going to be like. Well it is not going to be pretty. Damon Stoudemire, Tracy McGrady, Vince Carter and now Chris Bosh.
It looks right now that the Raptors got a steal with the trade exception from Miami for Bosh.

No you didn’t. You got back YOUR 1st round pick ( Miami owned it, gave it back to you) , Miami’s 20111st round pick and a trade expection that will most likely expired.

torontoraptors10ParticipantLet me explain when I said:
“It looks right now that the Raptors got a steal with the trade exception from Miami for Bosh.”
If you watched tonights game you would notice that Bosh only played 6 minutes in the second half. He only played 21 minutes as compared to LeBron’s 39 and Wade’s 35. He has 5 personal fouls. If you are going to be apart of the “big three,” you need to start playing like it. Right now it doesn’t seem like Bosh is meshing well with the Heat, he seems more of a role player on the Heat team as opposed to the “superstar” status he had in Toronto.
Why is the trade exception valuable? Because we can use it in future trades or even to get players on our team. I don’t think trade exceptions can expire (correct me if I’m wrong please) and on top of that we get OUR 1st round pick back which will probably be a HIGH draft pick. We can start rebuilding the proper way and not get FA’s that won’t contribute to our team. So I don’t understand why you make it seem like it is a bad thing, because it’s not.

OhCanada-ParticipantDerozan has definitely proved to be a cold blooded type player. He had 11 points in the 4th qaurter victory against Orlando, 8 points in the 2nd game of a back-to-back in Miami, and 6th of them came in the first 2 minutes, (including a dunk on Chris Bosh which put Bosh on the bench). He did seem to be tired after playing about 40 minutes b2b on the road, and he became a liability on the defensive end but he definitely is showing signs of a leadscorer. I didnt expect to see him play this well this early and assumed we would see him play like this sometime around the allstar break so he is definitely taking advantage of a bad situation this year for Toronto.

-The trade exception expires after one year I think.
-The Toronto Raptors 2011 first round draft pick that Miami owned was lottery protected, which means Miami could only have used it if it iwas not a lottery selection. If Toronto had the pick protected by ending up with a Top 13 selection Miami wouldve been awarded a 2nd round pick and owned Toronto’s 2012 pick instead which wouldve also been lottery protected. That iss exactly what happened last year. What they essectially got back was their 2nd Round Pick for a couple of years since we all know Toronto isnt going to make the playoffs anytime soon.
-The Miami pick may end up being the most valuable asset in the trade unless the Raptors can snag a defensively capable C, or find a way to unload Jose Calderons contract.
