MJ FOR LIFE 23ParticipantThey’re underway now. It kind of feels like a playoff game. Rondo with his tip-off routine. I’m excited to see how Miami’s positionless will fare against the Celtics.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantCourtney Lee may not be the shooter Allen is but he’s pretty damn good. He knows how to move without the ball as well as anyone. Glad he’s finally gonna get some love.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantAlthough there have been some questionable non-calls for Wade, I’m glad he’s not flailing his arms anymore.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantAnybody see that Blake Griffin commercial? Lmao!
I expect LeBron to pull in 8.5 – 9 boards a game this season, especially with this lineup.

lalailaParticipantLeBron 7rebounds in a quater, is it what was said he would be maximazing his versatility

NickWayne87Participantthere’s gonna be alot less flailing and flopping from everyone glad they cracked down on that should’ve done this YEARS ago

MJ FOR LIFE 23ParticipantSome high octane offense in the first quarter. LeBron looks like he’s going to have a monster game and he looks relaxed as well which is pretty scary.

aamir543ParticipantLebron looks great, he’s not forcing anything, taking it really easy, and he has 7 boards already, you can book him for at least 10 boards this season. He also isn’t looking to take any three point shots, I really like that. Miami is moving the ball great. Their defense surprisingly looks a little shody, but that’s probably because the Celts are playin great as well. I personally had written them off but I didn’t realize how loaded their bench was, and Paul Pierce looks great shooting the three. Boston should coast to a top 3 seed.
But the Heat have too many weapons, they finally have ball movement. They have so many great shooters, we are in for a lot of high quality basketball. Ray Allen looks like he’s about to shoot 60% from three, that’s how wide open their shooters are, and Battier has carried all the momentum from the Finals to the Regular Season.

MJ FOR LIFE 23ParticipantMiami 3-point shooters are cheesin’ right now. On the flip side, Varejao having a monster board game already at 20 and there’s still one quarter left.

Wavy BagelsParticipantIronic how Garnett was trying to get in everyone’s head (including Ray Allen) and he turns out to have a bad game so far. 5pts 5to 4pf 2-6 shooting.
0- Posted on: Tue, 10/30/2012 - 4:27pm #724984
Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantAnd right when you post that, Garnett gets called for a tech and it’s Ray Allen that takes advantage

Wavy BagelsParticipantI wonder how the Celts are going to deal with the SG spot when Avery Bradley returns.
Lee – Terry – Barbosa – Bradley

3–6 mafiawhat better way to end the game than with a ‘lil fight’ between rondo and wade
0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/30/2012 - 5:39pm #725006
For_Never_EverParticipantI know Rondo is young, but the Celtics really need to give him a rest. I believe he was the only player in the game, that did not get any rest. Doc has been doing this too.

3–6 mafiathings i had predicted from this thread.
-heat lack of C not a problem due to evolution of game. since last year i’ve been talking about that
-ray allen averages career high in 3pt shooting %
-lebron averages 9/10 rebounds for career high
-ray allen is a candidate for 6th man
all these bold statements and people repeating them now, unaware.
0- Posted on: Wed, 10/31/2012 - 1:49am #725056
omphalosParticipantThe Heat lack of C hasn’t hurt them because they are yet to play a team that has a legitimate C, not because the game has evolved necessarily. They are getting away with it because there just aren’t that many Cs that can carry an offensive burden and dominate you inside these days, and the vast majority are in the Western Conference.
I’d be very curious to see what sort of numbers Bynum and Brook Lopez put up against the Heat, but don’t say it won’t hurt them, because if they come up against Dwight in the Finals things are going to be pretty different, even Steve Kerr said that the Heat were lucky to have avoided San Antonio because Duncan would have changed that series with his low-post scoring and their small-ball look wouldn’t have worked.

starpyParticipantSure woulda been nice if Jeff Green had shown up. I didnt like how Boston was using him, but he really looked disengaged for pretty much the whole time he was on the floor.
