BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantHe was never going to "lived up to the hype in Miami." He doesn’t play well off the ball and is a lousy defender. As long as Dwyane Wade was going to be in Miami, he was not going to have the ball. He is not Bosh. He can’t make a living picking, popping, and knocking down 15-footers. He doesn’t pass the ball well, which is also problematic. He needed to be on a bad team for this to happen, just like Mike James, Ricky Davis, and Cuttino Mobley needed a bad team when they "lived up to the hype" and had 20 PPG years.

DanEboyParticipantWell, Beasley is still only 21 years old so if he wants to improve, he can. The talent is there, just needs to bring the work ethic. The guy is way more talented than Mike James, Mobley and Davis.

doubledribblerParticipantPeople fail to realize that a lot of guys in the NBA can average 20 points a game. For a lot of them, playing on a bad team is key. Minnesota doesn’t have a lot of scoring available and are horrible so you really don’t have much to lose by giving Beasly the green light every night. I can look at San Antonio and say that there were plenty of years that Ginobli and Parker could have averaged 20+ a game, but they played within the system. I think Parker has had only one year of 20+ and Ginobli has never had any. On a bad team both of those guys without a doubt would be looking at multiple such years.

He could improve, but that is separate from those who are making the claim that he has made some sort of leap in his development because he has the ball and is taking shots in Minnesota.

jaysmith1987ParticipantHe has improved because if you don’t recall last year he would have a twenty point game followed by a zero point game he’s improved in consistency because in miami he was still getting enough shots but he’s improved his confidence and consistency. With time he has bright future the twolves just need a point gaurd like a kyrie irving coming out of college a passer who can score but makes everyone better.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantHe has been more consistent because he plays regardless of how he is doing defensively (unlike with Spoelstra) and is the primary option.
Let’s say Minnesota gets Kyrie Irving and let’s say he is pretty good, what is the difference between them and Memphis or Houston? Are they going to stop anyone?

Jlv2010Miami will regret dissing Beasley and he’s not a sellout like Bosh.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantI’m sure they’ll regret it when they are playing in May and June for the next four years.

Ghost01Participantquincey remember when the Wizards traded away all of there players and Andray Blatche was suddenly averaging 20-15? its because there team sucked, but im sure there were a bunch of board discussions on here about how Blatche was the next great power forward.
