delfamParticipantthat video shows nothing about how this guy plays, doesn’t show defense, rebounding, passing, or anything. Everybody is athletic and can dunk in NCAA, this doesn’t show anything.
And how can you spell his name wrong? It shows it right in the video and you still spell it wrong.

Mr. 19134ParticipantI’m guessing the video was being displayed when he was typing the subject and if you are making a thread about somebody you ought to know how to spell their name, that dude does not have a very common name and can be easily mispelled.
I was just reading about this Hanner character the other day on ESPN. From what i read they said this kid got as much athletic ability as is humanly possible for somebody his age. They said he can guard anything from the 2guard to the power forward and even centers and point guards in a crunch. He is considered very raw tho. Most of this is based on the fact these are scouting reports on a sophomore high schooler and that he shows all the signs of being able to harness his tools. If he is able to put it all together the sky is the limit because from what I hear this kid is blessed with everything you can’t teach in a surplus.
He reminds of Josh Smith.

delfamParticipantyou don’t have to be athletic to be a PF though, PF is more of a skill position where you need to know positioning and how to use your body. I haven’t seen this guy play but it doesn’t seem like he wants to get on the block and do any of those things. Not sure why he’s rated so high if he has limited basketball skill, skill is greater than athleticism in the game of basketball.
Anyone know if he can shoot, cause he might have to convert to SF I would guess in the NBA.

Mr. 19134ParticipantThat’s why he reminds me of Josh Smith. He should probably be playing on the wing right now but because of his lack of consistent shooting and the fact he is so strong and athletic he causes more problems playing power forward. He projects to be a hybrid forward in Thad Young, Josh Smith mold in the NBA. That’s if he ever gets some perimeter skill. But he is rated high basically because he is a freak of nature. Every scouting report I have ever saw on him basically say the same thing. This kid is as athletic a human being as they ever saw in person. Most of these scouting reports were from when the kid was like 15 or 16 so a lack of skill is expected, but an NBA ready body and athleticism is not.

hiphopismylifeParticipantHes a highlight reel waiting to happen but his game is still raw and rounding out. Ridiculous athlete but right now he probably falls more in line with being a greater prospect than he is a basketball player. I think he and Cody Zeller will compliment eachother well at IU. Definitely pro potential.
