I was watching basketball videos and youtube and noticed someone left this as a comment.

yes it is funny. However I saw it the day after lebron announced his decision. There was actually a thread about lebron tshirt sayings including that one. SO what did you think about fields in summer league jrdafilipino?

Hey man I can’t even lie, I was following the Knick’s all summer long and Fields was one of the top (if not the top) players on that summer league team. I know when to admit I’m wrong and this is one of those times so kudos to you. Then again lets not get too carried away with summer league play, what matters is what he does doing the regular season. So how about for now we put of all our thoughts on Fields until .. say, All Star Weekend; that should be enough time to see what Fields can do playing with the big boys. BUT, being a Knick fan I am rooting for him so we’ll see what he can do once the regular season starts.

And just to point out some extra things about summer league; I’m considering Fields performance (16 and 5 I believe)

Devin Ebanks, the 43rd overall selection also averaged 15 PPG and would show flashes of why he was once considered a 1st round talent. The argument I posed way back when with you was that there were better options. Maybe better isn’t the word because like I said I was very impressed with Fields’ summer league play. He is a really good player (in summer league at least) guys like Devin Ebanks I have to say.. watching them both play I would much rather have Ebanks.

Regardless, I was wrong about Fields AS A PLAYER, but my argument remains because I still believe the Knicks could have done better with that pick (ex. Ebanks) Anyways, good assessment on him you were probably one of the handful of people who actually liked that pick and thus far Fields has been proving the doubters wrong and making you look good lol. Again, lets just wait until the real basketball begins and lets see where he really stands. He might not get legit burn on the Knicks (same goes for Ebanks) but I’m sure they will both see the floor at some point during the season and please believe I’ll be paying close attention to the two (and everyone picked after Fields). thats all fair. I wouldnt normally bring up summer play, but i believe you brought up how he wouldnt do anything in summer so i had to throw that in there, lol. Truth is, im not sure what to expect from him as a rookie, not becuase he cant produce, but becasue the knicks have lots of wings with similar/better ability such as chandler, gallo, walker, azubuike, etc, so there are only so many minutes to give out even if fields is solid. At least he didnt kick anyone down a flight of stairs yet.

I actually like Fields but early on I was a lil upset they did not take Ebanks. I have been high on Ebanks and some other guys like Tiny Gallons and the Knicks did get Jerome James another guy I felt they should take.

It makes sense now why they did not take Lance.
