Name two players from a particular team….one who you gut feeling tells you he is staying and the other who your gut says is leaving.

For me I have a gut feeling these guys will return…

    UNC:

    • Kendall Marshall – I dont think his stock gets higher, but still, I just have a feeling he will return.

James Michael McAdoo will return because although he is likely a lottery pick, his stock will rise greatly with a return should he have a great year.

    Baylor:

    • Perry Jones III – Would have went higher in last years draft, but I can see him coming back for another year.  His stock is lower now but next year could rise to top 3 depending on his dominance.

Quincy Miller will return, its obvious his game needs work and although he would likely be a mid-late first rounder….I think he will stick it out for another year.

    Washington:

    • Tony Wroten – Wroten is as intriguing a prospect that is out there right now, but I think he will want to return for another year and improve on his play and draft position.  Could be a top 10 pick after another year.

Terrence Ross – dont think his stock will get much higher so I think he is gone.

    Kentucky:

    • Doron Lamb – I dont think any of UK starters will return, but if I had to pick one to do so, my gut says its Lamb.  He has room for improvement and should they win the title, may be eyeing a 2nd one and making his mark in collegiate history.   He will get to play some PG next year but at the same time not be forced into the roll full time as Harrow will be eligible.

Marquis Teague – he will leave simply because some team will need a PG and there just arent many that will be available with his kind of talent.

I did not mention any players who have already declared nor did I mention any players who I am pretty sure are not returning.

I dont think Jones or Marshall will stay. For Marshall like you said his stock won’t get any higher it can only go down (not saying it will) so I think he leaves with the chance of being the first PG taken. His injury actually improved his stock because teams go tto see how improtant he was to that North Carolina team and how poorly they played without him.

Jones will be taking a huge risk if he stays, if he comes out he will most likely be a lottery selection based on  potential but if he stays another year and has ANOTHER dissapointing season i could see him even slipping out of the first round. True the opposite could happen and he could have a great season and be a top 3 pick but i dont think he takes the chance of his stock slipping even more. Plus its going to be Quincy Miller’s team next year.

I think Wroten is goin to declare but I hope he stays he could definitely be a top ten pick next year. For the most part I agree with your list

Teague is staying, he has some work to do before he comes to the NBA. I think he knows that.

do you have a gut feeling that a player people are expecting to leave will actually stay?  I mean these are just hunches, all of them could actually go.  I know advisors will be urging Jones to go but out of the guys that returned this year, he probably was more justified to leave.

Why do people think Teague is staying?

Ryan Harrow is there, which means that’s going to take away from Teague’s devolopment as a PG,because Harrow will more than likely start at the 1 and Teague will move to the 2 because he’s the better scorer.

The scouts want to see Teague work on his PG skills and learn more about the position but that wont happen with Harrow there.

Teague tournament numbers are pretty good.

He’s gone, no need for him to stay, and when UK wins the whole thing thats really going to be icing on the cake because he did something Rose,Evans,Wall,Knight couldn’t do.

And that’s give Cal a ring.

If PJ3 stays another year he might turn into a 2nd round pick lol

again, this is just fun discussion, but with probability.  before the season was over last year, who here really thought PJIII was coming back?  much less Barnes and Sullinger.  I dont think there is a person here who honestly thought all 3 or those guys would return.  Maybe one or two, but three?  Particularly after Barnes announce he was staying, PJIII wouldve been top 4 no question!!!

seriously guys, did someone here think that Triston Thompson or Valanciunas wouldve went before PJIII?  Had he declared, he couldve been a T-Wolf, a Jazz, but most certainly if they passed on him he wouldve been a Cav.

so I dont think its unfathomable to think that he returns because he surely didnt have to last year when his stock was higher and he KNEW Barnes and Sullinger were not leaving, but likely to leave the following year, plus Davis and Drummond entering the mix.  PJIII probably knew that by staying he would lose position EVEN if he had a great year.

To be honest I thought more underclassmen would have stayed at school because of the lockout.  Barnes, Sullinger, and PJ3 did not surprise me at all by staying at school.

1.Kendall Marshall loves the college life and wants to return…But watching the actions of his dad,you can see the Glare of NBA Dollars in his dad’s eyes….

2.Adonis Thomas made it official yesterday,he told a local tv station that he’s returning to Memphis..

3.Meyers Leonard’s mom and family is having financial troubles,he said earlier in the year, that he wants to help them.

4.Teague has had an up and down season and some say he’s making a mistake if he comes out….But i think he’s more nba ready then people think..He has better tools then Bledsoe had and Bledsoe became a 1st round pick..But Bledsoe’s draft wasnt as deep as this 1..

5.Cody Zeller could go as high as number 5 this year, but he hasnt said what he plans to do..I wouldnt be surprised if he leaves…

@Surve…my bad now i get what you are saying and looking for in respose to this thread. I am really having trouble thinking of someone who everyone thinks will go but will decide to stay. Then again I would have said that last year and Sullinger Barnes and Jones all suprised me.

I’m going to say Jeremy Lamb, UConn underachieved mightily this year and if I were him I’d have a chip on my shoulder and be looking to prove I could lead the team. I know possible penalties may make it so UConn players want to enter the draft but I could see Lamb coming back for one more year…with a good year he could move back into the top 5.

I thought Marshall may stay but he is gone, he is warranted in a PG weak draft.
