halfdecayedParticipantvery very close game down to the wire.. with around 1 min left, KAT makes an and 1 and the refs decide to overturn it to make it an offensive foul.. seriously.. I feel like the Warriors will be drained going into the playoffs and the Spurs will be so fresh.. I hope the Spurs win it all

halfdecayedParticipanton another note.. the Twolves have a very very bright future, these guys going small with Rubio-Lavine-Shabazz-Wiggins-KAT are giving the warrior a real run for their money

markfitz14ParticipantDefensive team. This is a little early in Minny development but I think with KAT an WIG the identity is going to be a tough defensive team that causes turn overs. Exactly the recipe to beat a jump shooting team. 2 years from now Minny could be one of GSW toughest foes. Wiggins can be a really good defensive player one of the top in the leauge. I think having KAT on his team is really giving him confidence. KAT is already one of the best in the leauge it is amazing.

halfdecayedParticipantman bandwagon Golden State fans be quaking in their boots right now for their meaningless regular season record while their team is starting to get worn out.. Now I just hope Pop doesn’t rest his starters and hand out this record.. Make them earn it.

They need to relax and get off their chest the 73 win season.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantI can already see the Spurs stealing another one from lebron come June.
Give credit to the twovles. They are going to be real good in a few years. Reminds me of what we saw with durant and okc growing.

negguaryParticipantIt wouldn’t be stealing it, they haven’t had to steal it since they obliterated the heat when they won the chip. In fact it would be LeBron having to steal one from the spurs because they are just better at this point, PERIOD. You don’t have to steal something that Lebron doesn’t have possession of or even perceived possession of.

ExumInfernoParticipantGood to see a bad team not tanking.
Although for where they are in the standings, maybe they feel locked into that spot so tanking or not it won’t change. Nets can’t get them, Minnesota would be unlikely to win enough to catch New Orleans althugh it is possible.
Warriors lost to quick and athletic team, and except for minor Prince minutes it was a young team.
Draft need, probably a power forward with an outside shot, or maybe another swingman, Minnesota just need to keep all their high picks together, and should be a playoff team a lot.

benny15Participantmore good can come off this loss than a win though. if they follow this up by resting at least steph, klay and dray in their next game against san antonio, then they show a clear message that priority is the season, not some regular season record.
get some rest, if theres any sign of complancency, weed it out, and get ready for when the games matter more.
i really liked minnys play though. you can see their team is growing in chemistry more and more as they play and their learning to pick their spots more. shabazz being agressive and getting to the line was huge and i hope he gets to do it more often. it really just changes the tempo and complexity of the game. zach took and made some huge big shots at the end of the fourth and wiggins took over in the over time. towns also ended the game well and it seems that the t-wolves have some serious closers on the roster, they just need to tighten that deffense to put them in a position to make their shots count in the end.

NBAjunkie81ParticipantAs far as Minny…… Wow just 2 years ago they looked like they would be in the Lottery for Another decade…… Then, after picking Zack Lavine # 13 in the 2014 Draft……… Lebron goes back to Cleveland…….. & they land Wiggins – the Prize of the 2014 Draft – the #1 overall pick for Kevin Love…..
And then they become one of the few teams w/ the Worst record to get the #1 pick & they get the True Jewel of that Deep 2015 NBA Draft Karl Anthony Towns……..
What if the Wolves land the #1 pick again & put Ben Simmons in between KAT & Wiggins……. I know it’s a Long shot…….. but……. WOW…..

cabbycabParticipantAs a dub fan, this is not a big deal. This is first time I watched Minny and they are impressive. KAT looks like a wiley veteran already. Wiggins is an absolute pogo stick when he lauches up after his spin move.
To Minny fans: Is Mitchell regarded as a good head coach?

sweaterflexParticipantMitchell is a bottom five coach. His rotations for the season may have been the worst in the entire league. LaVine at point guard has been awful, too many minutes for Prince, not enough of Bazz at the 4, etc. The floor spacing is terrible, and the team needs to take more 3s, regardless of whether they make them or not. The only coaches I’m positive are worse are Byron Scott and Kurt Rambis.

therealbballerParticipantYeah he is bad as a head coach! Minnesota are in a desperate need of a coach who actually knows good basketball. I would say that the things that Mitchell does great is to get his team to work hard. This is something he can do as an ass. coach if he wants to stay in Minnesota

Memphis MadnessParticipantDidn’t watch the game, wish I had.
the T Wolves have a good future. Still loving Sabonis for them. Floor spacer and a second big.
NOW, you gotta look at Thon Maker if he is eligible/available. Could be their next KG.
Thon Maker might be their top option now. Sabonis is second. Of course, this is if they don’t land a top two pick. I would assume they would take Ben Simmons or Brandon Ingram no matter what. Other than that they should go big, unless they really fall in love with Buddy Hield.

TravelinTravParticipantSam Mitchel isn’t as bad of a coach as most people think. I admit it was frustrating watching the lineups he had going at the beginning of the year. LaVine at the point doesn’t make sense but he needed to develop a higher IQ what better way than to play him at PG for 20-30 games. They let K-Mart and Miller go around the all star break to make minutes for LaVine and Tyus. I think this season was played/run very well, all the players have a chemistry now. The Finals weren’t the goal at the beginning of the season. It was to raise the talent of the youngsters and gel them with vets. They have had no of or on the curt issues with anyone on the team. And they will/should receive a top 5 pick. Next year will be a great year for this team. I’m calling 7-8 seed in the west.
I love the starting 5 Rubio, LaVine, Wiggins, Deng and KAT. It will be interesting to see who they get in the draft. Does Thon Maker make sense for the Wolves? And if they land the 1st pick who do you think would fit better Simmons or Ingram?
