HitsterParticipantWe always hear that good veterans want to chase a title and often jump to legit contenders in a bench role and are happy to take veteran’s minimum if they get a shot at a title especially as their careers wind down.
If GSW have bench spots available who do you all think will "Do a David West" and go all in for a title with GSW?
Given they must be odds on to retain then a fair few names could offer to takr the minimum and play 10-15mpg around the superstars. Also if GSW do lose any depth to FA they’ll need replacements.
Names wich sprang to mind were:-
Vince Carter – now 40 but is still a useful scorer and is very durable for his age. A lot of neutrals would like Vinsanity to get a title, could be an ideal match for GSW. Plus if he has a dunk off with McGee it could be fun.
Beno Urich – very solid back up PG, but role is probably taken by Livingston resigning.
Jason Terry – another guy pushing 40 and already has a title, but has shot 42% from 3 point line for Bucks last season, would only play limited minutes but you know what you’d get.
Gerald Green – Now 31, but still very athletic, would bring energy to the bench
Milos Teodosic – Has never played in the NBA but has done it all in Europe, why not go to NBA to get a title, could move on and get better deal if he comes off.
Thabo Sefolosha – Now 33, still a good defensive guy, would be ideal to protect leads down the stretch.
Amir Johnson – May well get a good offer to stay with Boston but is an excellent team player and has had good pay days so may decide to go all in for title.
Nene – Always considered a high character, good basketball IQ guy, may well get nice offer to stay in Houston but would be ideal fit for GSW if he took the min.
Zach Randolph – Z-Bo has transformed himself from Jailbreakers problewm child to a respected veteran. Soon turns 36 and for a 270lbs guy may not have too many seasons left. He has made All NBA teams and All Star Games, a title is missing from his CV so may decide to go all in for one. Has huge career earnings so extra money should not be a motivation as regards destination.

The GoatParticipantDavid West is going around again. I’m surprised Bogut isn’t on their radar (again).. but then again, he may be.

90sNYKParticipantBoth Green and Carter would be great additions. In that system I could see Green striving and Carters veteran presence and leadership would give them an even bigger edge.

cohenbc1ParticipantEven though I’m getting tired of the Warriors, it would be hard not to root for them a little if they got Vince.
Same with Z-Bo, although he just doesn’t seem like a Bay Area kinda guy …

cohenbc1ParticipantIguodala has resigned. Warriors have already pretty much accomplished what they had to in free agency … even if they lose every other free agent from last year’s roster, they can just start Damian Jones at C (a St. Bernard could start at C for the Warriors) and field a second unit of Livingston, McCaw, Iguodala, Bell and West. Pretty impressive.

iguapops420ParticipantNot really a lot of spots left tbh. I’d like to see them get DeWayne Dedomnd somehow. I’m not a warriors fan, but watching ZaZA kill the offensive flow while being a foul machine is too much. JaVale can’t be relied on for more than 10 minutes and is a bit to slow in the pick and roll after all his leg injuries. So a good defensive five who can switch a little on the pick would be. Ice get for them. Maybe Jones FINALLy shows the physicality and consistency to earn those minutes. Swaggy P was looking like a real option until they resigned Iggy.
