nateoak10ParticipantThey looking nice at 3-1.
– Lee is rebounding like a beast, 15 and 16 tonight
– Monta is playing like a superstar , 39,8, and 9 tonight
– Dorrel Wright might be up for MIP, he had 7 3’s tonight and 25 points , 6 boards and 2 blocks and is averaging 20 a game is over 50% on 3’s so far
– Biedirins is hot and cold, if he starts slow he wont play well and vice versa
Could they compete for the 8th seed ? ‘
PS they played tonight w/o CUrry for the 2nd straight game

Mr. 19134ParticipantGolden State has been making everybody look like they are playing bad defense and they had one of their lower scoring nights tonight.
I think they are the real deal. I can’t wait to see Udoh get healthy and add even more defense to the mix.
How do you guys think Udoh fits into the mix with Lee playing like an All Star again at Power Forward and all that money they gave to Biendrins? When Brandon Wright is healthy he has proving to be a good scorer and nice rebounder if he can ever stay healthy.
Do you guys think somebody like Andre Iguadola could help put this team over the team and make them a serious playoff team. Iggy would provide defense, rebounding, and be a great facilitator on a team with so many scoring options. And they can probably get him for the going rate of Biendrins who is averaging 7 n 7 this year meaning he is not one of the key contributors to their early success.

burningfloodParticipantFinally some love for GSW! After the really bad predictions we got over the summer (27-33 wins), it’s good to see that we’re at least playing at a high level, and that we’ve seemingly cured one of our worst flaws, rebounding. We just need to add some more defense, which Amundson and Udoh should be able to provide.
We shouldn’t trade Biedrins, not even for Iggy. No Biedrins means that we have to start David Lee at center, which I think would be disastrous. We’re winning now because Monta’s playing like an all-star and because we’re winning the battle of the boards. If Radman and Gadzuric’s expiring contracts can net something, of course, then that’d be great.
Let’s go GSW!

mj23mj23besteverParticipanttheyd have to throw in more to get iggy i know this is kinda contradicting what i said but if im gs i wouldnt trade biendrins he allows lee to play his natural pf position and gs has nothing else at center so lee would have to go back to playing center

fliptonnParticipanti think once biedrins’s contract is up Udoh will take over his role. As of now though Udoh will still get big min and surely start in the future. With him coming off the bench it will allow david lee and biedrins to run that fast pace offense all season and not get fatigued. hes a guy who can stretch the floor with his shooting too so that will open up more lanes for ellis and curry. with reggie williams playing well theyre about a year and a back up point guard away from making a run in the playoffs. i love this team

IndianaBasketballParticipantI’m really impressed with Wright. He looks like a completely different player.

durantula83ParticipantGive Biedrins some more time. He’s having a rough start but he’ll get there, he’s a very capable player. I love how GS is playing this year. David Lee was a magnificent addition, just the guy they needed inside. Plus Monta’s matured some more and has really become the leader of this team. Dorrel looks like he’s having a breakout year, I hope he can keep up his good play. If he’d finish the year with 16ppg at a solid percentage then I’d be real satisfied. Also love the fact Reggie Williams filled in for Curry so well, he had 16 points and 8 assists if I recall right. He’s really a solid, dependable player and was a real steal.

nateoak10Participanthe has been playing the best defense of his life and even though hes hot and cold is a great rebounder. His prescence alone is great, you really think Lee or Udoh at center will work? Remember last year w/o him?

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantThis thread looks an awful lot like the Minnesota looks like a decent team thread from last week. They’ll be back in the gutter where they belong before long. Actually, I’m not sure they’ll fall below the Del Negros, so maybe it will be a softer landing.
BTW, I did call that Dorell Wright would put up Corey Maggette’s stat line last summer.

nateoak10ParticipantDorrel’s stats are way way better than Maggette stats and is playing way better. And how are they going to go to the gutter? They have a great starting lineup with 3 potential all stars (Curry, Ellis, Lee). A great rebounding front court, decent deph (Williams is a good 6th man). And some of there bench players are really stepping up, Carney has finally found a niche and playing well, Gadzuric isnt sucking, B Wright is playing good D and we still are getting Amundson and Udoh back from injury

Mr. 19134ParticipantNo Lee won’t have to play Center when Udoh get’s healthy. During the draft workouts they worked Udoh out against all the centers like Whiteside, Monroe, and Aldrich. Udoh said he got the impression the Warriors wanted to see how he stacked up against the other centers and playing center in their system. Well the Warriors picked him 6th over all them players especially Monroe who I thought was the better fit so that must mean they saw something they liked and thinks he can fill that role. Udoh is more not undersized for the center spot because he is very long and strong.
B. Wright can play center also until Udoh get’s healthy and situated.
I would trade Iggy straight up for Biendrins but I would trade Iggy, Speights, and filler for Biendrins and B Wright or a pick.
Dorrel Wright is my favorite for the MIP award he is shooting lights out so far.
