    supp grizz fans.

I’ll start off by saying i’m already ready for another season! Summer’s been moving along just fine, and we’re lookin at about 4-5 months now.

I’d like to think the team got a little better through this offseason. the draft pick….filling a major hole at the 4. these were immediate team needs that were taken care of. it looks like we got us some rebounding power, which we’ve lacked for years and especially last season. we also brought interior defense and size. We traded darko away, and i think and appreciate him for his time and wish him well. We still have to find a backup pg and more wing players.

I would have like to have seen lee in a grizzly jersey alot more than randolph. hopefully he’s not the same person when he gets to memphis. if he got along well with the team and the coach and played decent basketball, then not bad!

As far as scoring ( 08-09 – 94ppg) we may have helped it a little bit with adding randolph.

a few things need to happen this year though,

    1. breakout years for gay and conely. gay now has a backup, which should allow him to play less passive and be more aggressive-with no fear of foul trouble basically. – we also need to see what conely is really worth. at the end of last season, he showed some good signs of growth and talent, he needs to keep this up and show much more. – i’m not worried about mayo, he will continually to grow and gain consistence.

    2. Chemistry. The grizz need to gell conely, mayo, gay and gasol strongly. these 4 are the future. they’re still very young and talented. get them all on the same page. with the addition of randolph and how we all know he likes the ball alot..this could be a problem for conely, mayo and gay. being that each of these 4 like the ball alot…hopefully it can all work together really well.

    3. Make sure the game doesn’t become too slow. fluent transition and fastbreak. ( Teams ) that are defensive minded, (spurs, celtics) if you give them time to setup on defense, they’ll find a way to shut our young team down easily. Gasol and thabeet should not be on the court at the same time. They’re too slow, they’d get winded easily.

    4. conely, mayo, gay, randolph, gasol…..this should be the starting 5….period.

since we got randolph i think thabeet should start, because a gay, randolph, gasol frontcourt on d is not a good idea.

thabeet off the bench is much more suitable. i’m not gonna start a player i can only rely on defense over marc gasol. marc played impressively his rookie year with acceptable defense.

thabeet playing with warrick, arthur, young and jaric is a much better idea….defensive presence off the bench to play with some offensive guys.

i think the grizz can push to 35 wins this year. i’d like to see more, but this is already a stepup from last season if they can show more maturity.

if they decide to sign iverson theyre a lock to pick in th top 5 again. No team can win with TWO cancers on their team. Z Bo and iverson and the 2 most selfish players in the league and neither want to play defense. Iverson has killed the last 2 teams hes been on.

agreed homey. A true powerfoward that’s a non cancer…the development of conely, mayo and gay…this all depends on the grizz making the playoffs anytime in the next 2-3 years.
