JNixonParticipantI’d easily take Monroe over those 2 guys.

gregoden08ParticipantI think Davis is the best defender/rebounder of the group, and Favors has the most potential in my opinion. However, Monroe is a very unique player and has improved quite a bit from his freshmen year. I give the slightest edge to Monroe.

quinceyhodgesisnt monroe averaging more boards then davis?

gregoden08ParticipantThat is true…But look at the big men UNC has…Monroe is grabbing all the rebounds on that team. I just think Davis is a naturally better rebounder. The numbers are close, though.
Actually, Davis is averaging .1 more as a rebounder…LOL. And, Monroe is playing 6 more minutes.

quinceyhodgesid say they are probably the same on the boards then

gregoden08ParticipantI think Davis can be a 9-10 rpg type of guy in the NBA if given the minutes. Monroe seems like a 7-8 rpg type of guy. Similar to Aldridge (though Aldridge has really picked up his rebounding as of late).
Do you think Cousins will be the first big men taken in this draft?

Hood KidParticipanti think cousins will be the first one taken, and monroe second, both top 7 picks

knicksfan7ParticipantI think it depends on which team’s GM falls in love with first. If it’s a guy who loves potential then I think Favors is the first to go off the board. If its a GM who loves a guy who is NBA ready I think it could be Greg Monroe or Ed Davis.

lalailaParticipantyeahh there is no secret that IMO COusins will be 1st bigmen
then….I thought Monroe is underrated player who should be in the lottery unquestionably and though about top10, now those 12assist was too sick for me! this guy is second best bigmen out there!

quinceyhodgesi think monroe will be a better rebounder in the nba because hes more skilled and will get more time. davis is just athletic right now and long kinda like tyrus thomas..i dont see him as a 9 or 10 reb type of guy in the nba. and yeah cousins is the first big man off the board

JNixonParticipantI think Davis is the better rebounder (esp. on the offensive glass), but I think his rebounding numbers will be lower in the NBA because I think he’ll play less than Monroe.
