I’ve seen FIBA U17 games of US Team… i’m very high on these two guys. Jalen Green seems having really all the tools to be a star in a near future. A perfect SG. Mobley is a bit more raw, is has to get stronger but he too has a lot of potential, he is a very intriguing PF or C. What do you think of these two players?

Jalen Green’s been getting Kobe comps for years, head of his class and some say a better prospect than anyone in the classes before him yet to come out. I’d hope hes destroying the FIBA U17. Haven’t heard of Mobley, but a 16 yr old who is a bit raw, needs to get stronger, has a lot of potential, sounds like every big man prospect at that age. What’s intriguing you about him? Does he have any elite big man skills yet (shooter, ball handling, passing, post footwork, rim protection, switchability)? Any comparisons to NBA guys? I know comparisons are pretty much a joke, especially at this age, but they give us some idea of playing style.

Yep, many long guys are in the game. Mobley has some tools  difficult to find together. He runs the floor very well, is coordinated, shows good hands. but, the most important, he has feel for the game, he knows were is has to be on the ground. He does not disdain defense, he tries, even if there is room to improve.  In short he wants to do the right thing in the game, i’ve never seen him force. For a 16 y/o these are really good basis

I was in China for a month last summer with Mobley coaching exhibition games and doing clinics/camps with the One Dream Foundation.  He is such a down to earth and great kid and has a very good work ethic.  He actually isn’t that raw in terms of basketball skill, in terms of back to the basket skills yes.  In terms of physical tools he is athletic, has great length, needs to add weight.  He is a good shooter out to 3, great ball handler for his size especially in the open court, runs the floor great, good shotblocker, rebounds, has a high IQ and is a good passer out of high post and post. His comparison to me would be Chris Bosh.
