chibulls88ParticipantSuns would never trade Steve Nash for Boris Diaw and DJ Augustin. They could get back so much more from other teams. I also wouldn’t do the deal if I was the Clips. They get no talent back and giving up on Chris Kaman is not worth shedding Baron Davis contract.

tli232The Clippers better be getting a ton of draft picks from this. Kaman, when healthy, is a top 8 center in the league. Diop has 2 years of more than 6 mill. This guy should be untradeable. This guy is just gonna sit on your bench, taking up salary cap.
Nevertheless, the negative synergies of Baron Davis and Steve Nash being on the same team, let alone being on the court together would be profound. Why would a team tie up more than 20 million per year on the PG position exclusively? Doesn’t make sense.
As well, Yi only has 1 more year left on his contract; he’s been a flop so far (drafted 6th). He has little to no value in the league other than as a sixth man at best coming off the bench at BEST. Why would the Clipps give up Kaman AND Baron for essentially dead weight and a guy whose ceiling is lower than how Baron and Kaman have performed? The value just doesn’t add up.
sorry, had to give a negative for the trade.

Counting StarsParticipantUsually trades are not made in order to create a log jam at any one position.

kobyzParticipanti don’t know what happened with you all, it’s a great deal for all teams!
Charlotte improve a lot their situation and gets back to relevant and may do somthing big in playoffs, they gets the big post player they never had, they gets two classic and old PGs but at this stage they may be two heads monster at that position for the team and possibly a little minutes together, even though they take the bad big long contract of davis and giving up the solid prospect of D.J. Augustin this trade is great for them cause they improve so much and also get rid of DeSagana Diop contract to sweet the deal!
Phoenix Suns first of all give Nash the opportunity to do somthing in the playoofs again and put him in better situation, and also they would never gets much more of Nash who had one or two years left, it’s a solid value for him, Diaw is familiar in Phoenix and it’s may be his best fit and Augustin is a nice piece!
Washington Wizards make a little change with Gerald Henderson and Yi Jianlian, two about the same level prospects, but Henderson fill a better need.
Clippers gets rid of Baron which is the biggest blessing for them, they pay the price by giving Chris Kaman, but still Kaman is somewhat overpay, not the best fit for Blake Griffin and also Clippers wanted to make more room for DeAndre Jordan. the Clippers unite back with the recovery Shaun Livingston which will be exciting and could come out as a good fit to Eric Gordon… Yi Jianlian could become a low price good piece of the bench who fit well next to Black with his outside shot and also to DeAndre. DeSagana Diop has one more year on his contract after that year which is hurt a little so maybe Bobcats could had a draft pict but it’s not critical!

TyroberParticipant@Kobyz. The Bobcats end up with a great team after this but the Suns, Wizards, and Clippers get much much worse. This is a horrible idea

kobyzParticipantlol how could the Clippers get worse than what they are right now, this change will be good for them, also wizards could not get much worse and anyway this is a small move for them with Yi who doesn’t have much need with Blatch and Lewis now on the team for Henderson the two man, position Wizards short on.
for Suns i explain why it’s good for them, they will not make the playoffs now after the Orlando trade and they better let Nash go and they will not get much more for him!
