    Miami, Philadelphia, Boston or Brooklyn…

Rumors say he’s seriously thinking about leaving the Salt Lake area for a Eastern Conference team “On the rise”

    That leaves it down to
    1. Boston (IT and Company could be considered a rising young team)
    2. Brooklyn (Russell/Levert and RHJ
could be an interesting trio to surround Gordon with)
    3. Miami (Dragic and Whiteside already in tow, with Coach Eric Spoelstra and Riley in the front office, no taxes, ect ect)
    4. Philadelphia (Young core bursting from the seams with talent and potential, great coach and Jerry Colangelo leading the way from behind the scenes, Hayward would be the final piece to the bigger puzzle at SG)

Who would you sign with if you were in his shoes?

Does he really leave all that money on the Table to join a weakened Eastern Conference?

Would Hayward put any of these 4 Teams over the top or get them closer to their individual goals (Finals appearance, Playoff Appearance or relevancy in the East???)

Really you put Brooklyn into the mix…yeah I’m going to a team that has no picks and will be top 3 worst in the NBA…give your head a shake..

I would avoid Brooklyn. We know he is getting a 4 year deal with a player option for the 4th year, so he would want to go to a team that can compete the next 3 years. Brooklyn will be bad for 2 and likely 3 years. Of the remaining 3, I would rank Philly 3rd. They have a talented young core, but if you look historically, prospects who become all stars tend to not hit that level of play until year 3. So Philadelphia likely not a championship contender until year 3. I would rank Miami second. They have some good vets, a good coach, and a history of attracting big time free agents. I would rank Boston first. Already have a good team and several young players (Smart, Brown, Taytum) likely to improve. Plus, they have a smart coach familiar with him.

Just can’t see how he fits with the Sixers. But then again I was shocked at the signing of Redick so what do I know.

Simmons, Fultz, Hayward, Amir Johnson, and Embiid….

with Bayless, Reddick, Covington, Saric, and Holmes

and your third unit: TJ Mc, Luwawu, Korkmaz, Justin Anderson, and Okafor…

wins you the east with a year under their belts and if healthy.

The Sixers bench unit has great chemistry and they play hard for the minutes they play…they were keeping in games against playoff teams last year.

There’s a storm coming in the East.  Obviously its not rumored to happen, but hypothetically…watch out.

Looks good on paper but doubt if it could work. Brown constantly plays 10, two 5 man units.

Also could see Johnson playing over Saric and Cov. And would the SIxers pay Redick 23M to be a 2nd teamer?

I wouldn’t be so sure about him moving east. The only reason he is thinking about it is because he likes what he is hearing from Miami and Boston, but he’s going to like what hears from Utah on Monday too! They already got a pass first point guard in Rubio to help him become a better player, they have a great defensive screener in Gobert who almost won DPOY in just his 4th season!! And they resigned one of his best friends in Joe Ingles. To further probe this, here is a rumor from ESPN’s Tim McMahon: "A strong emphasis im Utah’s meeting with Hayward will be plans to continue to adjust the offense to feature him as the game continues to evolve, according to a source familiar with the Jazz’s thinking. Hayward has blossomed into an allstar under the tutelage of head coach Quin Snyder and assistant coach Johnnie Bryant. Averaging 21.9 points per game last season. A jump of 5.7 points from the season before Snyder’s arrival in the summer of 2014 and dramatically improving his efficiency. Jazz staff will continue to map specific areas of growth potential. The Jazz will stress the opportunity for him to be the #1 option on a playoff team with a co-star who compliments and enhances his skills in Center Rudy Gobert, a dominant defender who is also one of the NBA’s best screeners."

If you ask me that is pretty tough to turn down. I don’t think Miami or Boston can offer that. Horford is definetly no Gobert or even similar and nor is Whitside. I think Utah still has a pretty good case to keep him!

Gordon Hayward isn’t even meeting with the 76ers or Nets.
