He signed an agent, will definitely be declaring for the draft.  Being a fellow Canadian, couldn’t be more proud of the guy.  Hope he has a great NBA career.

Joesph needs another year in school. He should stay.

As for that, I’m shocked Quincey didn’t post this since he was up on the Thompson staying piece

As a fellow Canadian I am hoping for the best for him and its exciting to see young Canadian talent headed to the league.

But what is the point of making pubic statements that you are going stay. If your undecided or even have a small doubt just wait.  All it does is give false hope and excitment to Texas fans. I think Teaxs fans probably expected him to go in the first place.

My guess Jordan Hamilton who also said he would say is right behind him.

(There’s a link on this site) I thought for sure he would stay. I thought he was so excited about playing with Kabango that he would stay. I guess you gotta be ready for anything. I really think that Thomas Robinson should have stayed too. He’s been overshadowed by the Morris twins and really needs to stay another year to fully escape from the shadow of the Morris twins. I see another Daniel Orton. But I guess the fact that his family needs money really forced his hand. But how can he be so sure that he’ll get that money when the NBA will most likely go into lockout mode right after the draft?

Would you consider Tristian Thompson a lottery pick?

Wow that is very shocking news, and upsetting. I feel like Thompson can really benefit from staying another year, and having a legit chance to win a National Championship. Im upset that he is not honouring his word, but also hope for the best from tristan.

Money does talk. He shouldn’t have led Texas on.

He should have stayed. He could have been a top 10 pick next year, and would have had a very good Texas team.

I have no problem with his decision and dont feel he lead the on he just changed his mind. Just like someone who curses at the camera after they lose because of emotions.

I didnt necassarily believe all Canadians are true to their word cuz thats not true, but I thought that Canadian was. Thompson was always about winning back at Findlay, him and Joseph were excellect examples of excellence wthin their programs, but yeah the money definitely talk, I think he would make more if he stays thou.

That’s the same for most High school players because they dont really have much of a choose. Can’t go to the NBA out of H.S. And he wasnt always bout team and excellence. Back in N.J he was very selfish and about me me me. That’s was when instead of working down low he would try to be a guard and not listen to the coach and brush off the teammates

Lol yah I remember that, when he declared himself as a SF back in the day when he was the Top Ranked Prospect. Old traits die hard I guess…

no need to stay when you already the best defensive bigman in the draft, with his kind of work ethic and will to improve he could refine his offensive game also at the nba.
