OhCanada-ParticipantSo Im sure you already know with the GSW sqaud banged up and tired they elected tto sit thier healthy starters and basically forfiet the game to the San Antonio Spurs.
I actually found this funny. This is actually a classic Popavich moves. Hes been doing this for years. On the flip side so much money went to waste here from people who bought tickets, the league advertising, television networks who battled for thw right to broadcast this game. Heck even Lil John got paid for a "Turn Down For GSW vs SA" commercial.
I honestly think this is GSW forfieting home court advantage to the Spurs which could end up being costly. The Spurs are half a game back and like every ither Spurs team I remember they are heating up heading into the postseason.

halfdecayedParticipantlol and the Spurs didn’t play Parker, Gasol, Aldridge and Leonard and they destroyed them.. Golden State not getting the number 1 seed will be costly

Jr. ROXASParticipantGasol played lol. GSW didn’t have 5 of their top players then.

HitsterParticipantIronic they sit them against their main Conference rivals, surely try to win that game and sit them for another match as that has a two match swing as it involves their nearest rival.

SubZeroParticipantI guess they’d rather play Memphis, OKC, or Utah over Denver? I don’t understand why they don’t seem to care too much about the 1 seed. That could make things a lot harder for them

HitsterParticipantHome advantage against the Spurs or say Houston in a 7 game Conference Final could be very important. I’d suggest you rest your starters against the lesser teams and hope your bench can grind out a win. Resting guys on bloc is possibly the best thing unless you feel you can rest one key guy from a number of games.
A team like GSW giving someone like David West a 30 minute plus playing time on occasion is useful as it keeps the guy ticking over and helps shake off any rust. A good game also does a player’s confidence good even a veteran like West.

BiggysmallsParticipantYa’ll are overreacting to one game in an 82-game schedule. Warriors with a healthy roster beat the Spurs in 5 games. I absolutely love Pop and the Spurs, but GS doesn’t need the 1 seed. They just don’t.
I don’t mind them resting starters either. Screw the NBA for putting them on national TV every single night and hyping up these stupid Saturday showdowns. The league is a joke right now because every story is about off the court stuff, distracting the audience from the fact that the on-court product is terrible aside from a few select teams – when said teams try.
