i don’t know if you guys have noticed but in the last 7 milwaukee’s games he’s been playing as their point guard.. and he’s actually doing incredibly well..

jason kidd is finally doing what he said in 2014 before starting that season, when he declared he wanted giannis to play as a PG..

giannis played as a PG during the las vegas summer league and he did well, looking confortable with the ball in his hands, and since then he’s run the team’s offense for short stretches of time in some games but…

now in the last 7 games he’s playing as a full time PG and he looks amazing..i’ve never seen anything like that.. a 6’11 super long and freak of nature playing as a PG.. when durant talked about unicorns i think he was actually talking about giannis..to me, he’s the real unicorn..

he’s stats in the last 7 games playing as a PG:

    20’3 pts/10’6 rb/8’7 ast/2’1 stl/2’3 blk/2’7 to/49% FG and 3 triple doubles..

looks like he’s going to redefine the PG position..

yeaaah he’s been amazing. Two different player before and now on those 7 games.

it not only because of having ball in his hands maybe overall he just feel happier playing this style of basketball and seems more motivated, because averaging almost  11 rebounds and over 2 blocks  has nothing to do with PG position

& u now have the ball in you most talented player’s hands….. & w/ Jabari Parker emerging as a real talent……. I like this….. It’s clear MCW is just not working…… So who do they Draft if they are around #8ish?….. Jamal Murray or Buddy Hield can both shoot the 3 ball & get to the rim…… & Murray can help out at the PG spot……

If the Bucks are going to commit to Giannis as their primary ball handler in a sort of Lebron or Draymond Point PF slot….. It would Def give them some options in the Draft…… I know help at Center is needed as well & Rabb & Stone are slotted right behind Hield & Murray in that 8 – 12 range……

What does eveyone think about the Draft…. in relation to the Post’s question about "Greek Freak" running the Point???

Simmons compares extremely well to Giannis. Simmons the better ball handler and passer, Giannis a lot longer and a slightly better first step.

If Giannis is starting to put it together, that’s going to help Ben Simmons.

But I don’t trust either of them to ever develop a good jump shot.

if i was the buck’s manager i would get rid of greg monroe and mcw.. monroe doesn’t work here, the bucks need a center that protects the rim..right now they have a hole in the zone..

and then like you say, i’d draft jamal murray if possible or buddy hield.

o.j mayo and greivis vasquez finish contracts and that’s 14’6 mill. so they will have a lot of money to offer. i would try to get hassan whiteside and maybe give a second chance to larry sanders for the minimum..

then i’d get a veteran PG as giannis backup..

I have said it numerous times before but I still don’t know why they got Monroe to play centre. He is not a shot blocker and when he was a piston he said he didn’t like playing centre, he preferred to play PF.

Losing Zaza hurt them. They can compete now, I hope they try and move their draft pick for a quality veteran centre….

I knew this would happen years ago. Giannis is so skilled on offense and especially defense. If he develops a 3 we are talking mvp status. If kidd gives him the reins as PG of the future he will be something special. The most important thing is the bucks need a rim protector and maybe 1 more shooter, which i think Vaughn could be.

I watched the Bucks Twolves game the other night and the Greek Freak looked real good as a PG, the Bucks started to pull away with the game GA sat down and the game became close until he came back into the game. No reason why it couldn’t work as long as they have a good backup PG.  I hope it changes the game 5-10 years from now and their may several big PG’S in the league.

He is long and athletic. My only concern was his quickness and speed. I know he moves so good despite his size but when you’re talking about john wall and westbrook speed and quickness, i think there’s a disadvantage there but his length will compensate for it.

Thankfully, they aren’t asking him to defend PGs.  They’ve been playing two SGs in the backcourt (Bayless/Middleton, Mayo/Middleton, Vaughn/Middleton) so that Giannis is still defending the SF or PF but is playing the PG role on the offensive end.

Thank you! Can you imagine putting GA on Thomas or CP3?

Yeah, that wouldn’t be great.  Granted, Mayo isn’t exactly a great matchup for those kinda guys either, but he at least has a chance, and his threat of a jumpshot (though he’s been awful this year) helps with spacing.

Giannis is effectively playing as a point forward on offence and playing SF on defence. With them playing Mayo and Middleton these two can guard the oppositions guards but Giannis could be used to guard a lot of backcourt players given his insane length he’d shut a lot of them down.
