I think we should hash out all of our feelings on this post. Say what you want about fellow posters, have constructive criticism but still get a lot off your chest at the same time…I’ll start

ok so my opinion of him is mixed. His talent level is undeniable and i think his point level is far too low for his skill set, that being said, i think he plays the devil’s advocate too much, gets nit-picky, and tries to show people up.

You have improved a lot, but you always seem to take constructive criticism as nitpicking and seem to get incredibly immature about it. I remember give you criticism I felt was very constructive on your statistical predictions, of which I complimented, and seeing nothing from you. Than, you claimed that some trades of yours I criticized was due to my "critical nature". I can admit being wrong at times Taylor, can you? I still like you as a poster, but I think you need to turn the mirror on yourself.

As far as needing to "summerize" my posts, I guess many of my posts are kind of wintery or fall like. I try to springize them, but that is difficult to do. Oh, you mean summarize, well, sure, I do try, but honestly, I usually feel that most of what I say needs to be said. I try to break it down so that EVERYONE can understand them, and so that there are as few follow-up questions as possible. I do appreciate constructive criticism, and I give credit where it is due, but you point a post in which I should summarize, and I will clearly do so. If you are too lazy to read them, that is on you.

However, I guarantee you that the 5-10 minutes it probably takes to read one of my longer posts is less than the 30 or so minutes it took me to write it, not too mention do research so I get my facts straight. But, I am crying tears in my beers at your suggestion 🙂 Jesus, if people want criticism, I have a bucketful, and I am not afraid to dish it out. Not only that, but it would probably, dare I say, make people improved posters! No, but they would probably fight it and get offended. If you want people to remain as is, this is a great way of doing it. But, if you want people to actually improve, maybe have some more substance than "BTPH can play devil’s advocate and get nit picky".

When it comes to MikeyV, I think the people who generally like him are more mature, probably of greater age and have more in in-depth aspects of the sport and association as a whole. 

All I’m saying is you have people who read picture books and there are people who read the Wall Street Journal.

Personally I like the guy and his posts and take the time to read them in their entirety.  He’s willing to stick by his guns and support his statements with knowledge.  I def. respect that.  Sure I may argue at times, but as long as you truly support your statements and can back them up, more power to you.

i think mcdunkin keeps the mood steady around here but 80% of his points have come from his funny gifs, i feel like i don’t really have a grasp on his basketball knowledge

and with jnixoniggy9, not even sure what to think about his scouting reports, really well thought-out but half the time i can see him just making things up

Glad you man up to it man, I mean, for a while you were kind of known as the site police officer, weren’t you, lol :). Man, I was honestly a little bummed you did not make new predictions while taking team PPG into account, I would have really liked to have seen them. They were good for the most part, but I think some people who make predictions do not really look at realistic point per game totals, and you were just about as close as anyone I have seen. Man, I never have a problem calling someone out, and I know BTPH plays devils advocate A LOT, but he knows his stuff. Just wish he would maybe come down to our level and maybe not be as seemingly sarcastic and angry. Also, admitting when he is wrong would be a nice start, but I know that is hard.

I would rather be known as a passionate basketball fan with something to say rather than "The guy who writes long responses", and unless you read or understand my stuff, I am guessing that is not happening. But, oh well, I can honestly say that writing a lot has probably cost me more points than it has gained me. The more you write, the more likely it will be for a person to skip over it or disagree with something. Believe me, I take no offense in what people have said, I am totally cool with people saying anything about me, I just would love for it too actually be something that could help me improve rather than the vagueness of "you write too many words".

If I hit back at something you say, or holler at you, it may come off as hostile, but I am truly a joker at heart. I am sarcastic as hell, and I think that gets misconstrued. Sometimes I may think something is pretty stupid, but I usually go the route of trying to get a person to educate or better themselves rather than writing a person off. Glad you liked the "summerize" thing. I was like, "How can I take it seriously when a person says "thoughs" and "summerize"?". You truly do enough community service as is though, you are a saint.

Aamir, dude, I was pissed off at that too. Believe me, there are things that get posted here that make me smack my head and shout out curse words, but I find that saying these things on the internet is usually fairly ineffective. But, yes, the post about the reconstruction of the Bulls was incredibly stupid.

I mean, Cam Newton and Reggie Bush took way more than that, and I personally could care less. Oh, well, guess I will have technically never gone to a NCAA BCS Championship game. Plus, we will have to change our 12-0 shirts to 0-12. THIS SUCKS! Well, I still love the Ducks, and LaMichael James. Even Lache Seastrunk. Please do not fire Chip Kelly. Just, don’t. AAAAAAAH! This feels worse to me right now than the lockout. Well, Uncle Phil will never let us slip too far, and man, what a ride it was. Really hope we have a great season, but this is really bad news.

If you are looking for something to do, and something I think would not only be worthwhile and cool too do, but would also get a great response, why not make minor changes too your original statistical predictions? I gave you a bunch of suggestions, and even a mathematic basis that might help in making your predictions really realistic. I would just maybe check the stats from last year at a glance, than add everything up until you get a feasible total. It sounds slightly tedious, but I actually think it would take very little time as your original statistics are a pretty good starting point. At least let me know if you found any of my suggestions helpful. Thanks man, and I look forward too hopefully seeing these predictions.

Yeah, I love the association mode, I made a hella dominant big man in honor of Shaq, and he got like 10 mvps. But I got to 2046, and then the calender was just empty, and there were no games, and the players just kept aging every time you checked the roster.

I never got that far in Association mode.  I do 20 seasons most of the time.  I pretty much start from scratch with the Bobcats or a team with pretty much no future.  And I reconstruct it, win a ring or two and once they age, reconstruct again then I stop playing.
